Proper facilities for the students having entrepreneurship goals and support for their innovative ideas

Course Curriculum Overview :

As Civil is one of the latest branch at IIT ISM, it is less developed compared to other branches but the faculty is well experienced and the curriculum is really good. Apart from theoretical discussions, labs are conducted to give practical knowledge to the students.

Class Size : 55Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

A lot of companies visited the campus during internship season such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Salesforce, Goldman Sachs, etc for the SDE profile. Companies like JSW, Tata Steel, Cairn Oil and Gas, ExxonMobil, etc visited for the Core branches as well. The highest stipend offered was 2 lacs per month by Sprinklr.

Placement Experience :

Placement is one of most important factor here. The institute offers good placement opportunities. According to last year placement statistics, around 1000 of students got placed with highest salary offered was around 90 LPA and average salary offered was around 19 LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total fees for the general students is approximately 1.3 lacs per semester including tution fees as well as mess and hostel fees. The institute provides tution fee waiver as well as Merit cum means scholarship for the students. Students get 100% or 66.67% fee refunded based on various criteria.

Campus Life :

The campus life at IIT ISM Dhanbad is very happening. A lot of activities, fests are organised throughout the year. There are various clubs including dance club, drama club, music club and many sports club as well. The annual cultural fest Srijan is organised in February every year. Apart from this, annual tech fest Concetto, annual geo mining fest Khanan and annual sports fest Parakram are also organised every year.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel life is one of the best thing at IIT ISM Dhanbad. There are around 13 hostels, 10 for boys and 3 for girls. The names of hostel are given on the previous gems. The institute has recently inaugurated its 2000 boys hostel Aquamarine, which is one of the biggest hostel in India. The hostel staff is very cooperative and all the facilities are available inside the hostel.

Hostel Fee : INR 40000 per year

Admission :

For the admission, students need to clear JEE advanced examination and on the basis of rank college allotment is done. For the college allotment there is a JoSAA counseling round where students have to set the preference order and then they get the college and branch accordingly.

All you need to know about BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

The placements are declining day by day. In 2022 the average package was around 14lpa and highest was 56lpa but after that it has decreased significantly. Percentage of students have also declined . In ECE around 80% students get placed with an average package of 11lpa . Companies like Nvidia do visit the campus.

B.I.T My Home town

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is good. Approx. every student is placed. The average placement is 6 lakh. The students are eligible from the 7th semester for placement. The company visited are Tata steel, Vedanta, JSW, Tata Power, Tata Long Products, Deloitte, Sclumbereg, Amazon, Samsung, CISCO, Akash, Fiitjee, Byjus, etc. many big companies. In every company there are 5 to 6 students are placed. The placement package of Tata steel is 10 lakh, amazon is 44 lakh, etc. The percentage of students getting placements is 85 %. I want to go for teaching in Akash or Byjus, etc.

NIT JAMSHEDPUR what you learn and what you experience

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 3rd semester, many students got PPO offers and almost all big companies visited and there were 2-3 offers on everyone and there is 100% placement and the highest package was 35 LPA by Microsoft and the lowest was 3-4 LPA by mass recruiters like tcs and Infosys. Everyone used to work after getting placed.

An average stundet of cs

Placement Experience:

After the completion of 3 rd years, students are eligible for placement. About 10 companies came when I was there and they don't have soo many offers. The highest package of 10 lakh waa given to our best student in computer science the average package was 5-6 lakh that's the average package of most colleges here it is the same. The placements of students were quite average about 70 % cause most of the students get diverted. I planned to go in some other field apart from engineering.
