I like some faculties who teaches us in a wonderful way specially mathematics and computer science which are the most important subject for my course.
The campus is quite huge and the classrooms are neat and clean enough to do classes there.

The bathrooms need to be cleaned on a regular basis.
The placement structure is not so good like we have to try really hard to get a good placement.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because I didn't wanted to become an engineer so I didn't gave JEE or WBJEE. I wanted to go for some different domain but then I learnt that this course has a very good future and is with the present technology so I immediately choose this one. The faculties are really good and they try their best to make us learn the important parts needed in the future specially mathematics and computer science. Every year the students are increasing after hearing about this course. Minimum qualification of our faculty is master's. Some have also done phD. Some faculties lack in the teaching skills but maximum of them ace it. We have one mid-term exam before the semester exams. The percentage of the students who fails is very short as the faculties provide us with the important parts which are going to come in the exam.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 400000 per year

Placement Experience :

From 6th semester the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Wipro, Amazon, TCS, etc. are connected with our university. Based on the CGPA and interviews, a student is given a package. Highest package is of 8LPA and lowest is 2.5LPA depends on a student's eligibility. Percentage of students getting placements is 80%. I want to to get the honours degree in this course and then want to do MBA outside West Bengal for better experience.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total cost of the course is 4LPA for three years but if anyone wants to get the honours degree then the cost increases to 5.3LPA for four years. The Vivekananda Scholarship is applicable here and those who are unable payment the fees takes a student loan. If a student acquires the required marks and cracks the interview then they get an average package of 3-6LPA

Campus Life :

Every year the annual fest helds atleast 2-3times in our university. Our college also helds tech fest which makes a good CGPA. They are conducted mainly in the summer and December. We don't need to buy books as the teachers provide us with sufficient notes which becomes very helpful during exams. But in case anyone needs any book we are provided with a library. The classrooms are big enough for the students. It also focuses on the sports activities so the the students remain fit. Various type of sports are available in our university like badminton, cricket, football, volleyball, table tennis, tug of war, etc. The sports are mainly run by the seniors and super seniors.

Admission :

The eligibility criteria was that the student must have computer or mathematics in class 12. The application form was via online portal and the fees for my course was 1.3LPA. the form needed to be submitted before August 2023 for the 2023 batch. I am a general student so I didn't got any reservation benefits. No everything is good specially their behaviour is really well.

Reasons for choosing Bethune College

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester, students will be eligible for campus placement. Many recognized companies like TCS, WIPRO, etc. visited and offered a job with a healthy salary after the selection process. Maximum percentages of students from Bethune College are getting placements in recognized companies. I also got selected in TCS. But my plan was to continue my post graduation degree, so I left the job opportunity. My future plan is to complete my pg degree in clinical psychology and after that, I want to complete my MPhil.

Remarks:

All things can't be positive so some negative side is also there. But it is very low. Our college need more faculties. Though I have done extra classes through my guest lecturer and he was awasome. Bus should run after two hours of gaph. It will be beneficial for students.
