- The campus could have been bigger as the area is very small for otger activities.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I love english language as a subject and because Gokhale has a reputation as a good college which is known by everyone in Kolkata, based on that I took my admission here and I absolutely do not regret my decision. Here in Gokhale college, the current faculty is very good and there are five professors who are highly qualified and the strength of the class is nearly 45 to 48 students. The faculty here is really friendly with students and focuses on both academic and physical aspects. The teaching method here is quite good like you have a TV in classroom which is used for ppt presentation, movies and interviews of the author to enhance the knowledge and depth of text and giving opportunities in academic sessions which are frequent in college with career counselling. The semester exams are quite on time and the topics for paper work are also provided when the chapter are done within time. The exams are obviously difficult but preparation are done really well
Internships Opportunities :
The college offers many internships for students and many job are also provided by the college. Certainly there are job fairs held in colleges for job available right after graduation. Companies like TCS and Vedanta offer there jobs here.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure for the my course is 6K per semester everything is included the tuition fee, library and all. There also many scholarship provided by the college like swami vivekananda scholarship and notifies students about that.
Campus Life :
The campus life is quite lively. There is no such annual fest but there is annual function yearly and many students are given prizes for their achievements. Academic seminars are quite often, different different professors and scholars come here to give lecture and many competition are also held. The library here is very precious and environment is really quite and aesthetic ?? perfect for bookworms. The library holds some very old books which are rare to find in other libraries. Amenities are quite good and are recently furnished. There are many clubs for everyone to join in. There are also annual sports day in which many games are included mainly outdoor games like running, long jump, high jump, etc. Recently there is a website for students which students run and there is this online magazine where everyone post there art work, short stories and many categories which are selected for finally magazine publishing which is named Verseque.
Admission :
The admission is merit based and the process is completely online. The application dates would be uploaded on the college websites with the deadline mentioned. You just have to complete the applications form and attached necessary documents accordingly. After the application submission, the merit based admission list would be published by the college authorities based on your 12th result. When your name appears on the admission list, the college immediately calls or email you to complete the payment process and you will be added to the respective batches whatsapp group and there would be a document verification process to secure your admission. Eligibility for the course is generally total 55% in 12th class but for the reserved category the cut off was lower than the general which was 45 - 50% in 12th class.
