Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is rigorous an all encompassing. Every Monday there is an Internal, there are 2 internals for every subject and a semester exam at the end of the semester. The course is again quite difficult and it is hard to score marks.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The course is very affordable. The first year fees is Rs. 1235( tuition: 900, admission 100, library deposit 50, sports 100, session charges 50, registration 25, health card 20). For the next two years, the fees are Rs. 950 per year including only tuition and session charges. Government scholarships available. Fee structure is same for all students.
Campus Life :
There exists a lively and healthy Campus Life with multitude of clubs and societies. One can join These societies and play an active role in representing the university outside. There are three yearly fests conducted. Every department has a library. Apart from them , there is a central library. There exists a huge playground where football cricket basketball are played.
Admission :
I choose this college because of it's rigorous syllabus And renowned faculty. Also the closeness from my house. It was a factor in deciding that. The admission process considers half of your board's marks and rest comes from their own examination comprising of maths and logical reasoning.
Faculty :
There are many around 20 professors in the department and every class has around Eighty to ninety students. Overall macroeconomics needs better professors, but micro economics has good professors. There are professors of international demeanour also. There exists a healthy student teacher relationship. Professors are very approachable. The curriculum is in line with international standards and syllabus. It covers wide arenas of economics and is very helpful when one goes to study economics in masters level.
Interview Experience :
only written test, comprising mathematics and logical reasoning. weightage of test was 50% and remaining was the boards marks. It's a simple process overall. The maths part was completely from 11 12 syllabus of +2
Night Life :
Outside the university during night small cafes are always there. Apart from that from festivals and theatre , festivals take place from time to time during the night. Concerts also take place. But night life isn't exactly active there.
