Huge lush green campus, good faculty, good atmosphere

Dislikes

Very far from a metro city. Kharagpur itself is isolated from industrialisation

Course Curriculum Overview :

the course is very good as compared to its placements. The faculty members are well educated and have a vast experience of teaching. The exams are timely and of medium standard but if one doesn't put effort they can easily be dropped from a course.

Class Size : 80Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities at my college are very good some students apply at large companies like Google and go for g shock and some people apply at foreign university you have to have a minimum cgpa. Internship opportunities are good.

Placement Experience :

The placements of my college are very good for circle branches and menial for core branches. One has to be diligent with DSA and coding skills to crack a good company or have an alternate interest in financial concepts on a quant company.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is as follows tuition fees is of 1 lakh and some other expenses include around 10000 the if a student against hostels that he has to pay an extra 40000 per semester so the net fees is around 1.5 lakh per semester and 3 lakh for a year.

Campus Life :

The life at the campus is huge taking in mind the campus size we have two major fests in our college namelyshitij and spring fest these are conducted in the month of January we have the largest library in Asia campus has a different building for all the classrooms which is named Nalanda complex and it has an holding capacity of 15k students.

Hostel Facilities :

I am from Lal Bahadur Shastri hall of residence we have all the basic facilities which are hostels should have like the miss area bathrooms and common room we have been provided with the bed and a study table along with an almirah in our rooms the food in armours is not very good taking in mind the fees they charge for it

Hostel Fee : INR 80000 per year

Admission :

Eligibility is that you have to pass both JEE advanced and JEE mains exam. The application form can be found in on the NTA website and NTA manages all the dates of application along with the fees. Being from an OBC category I got CSE at a higher rank as compared to the general candidates apart from this there is no the benefit for OBC candidate.

Review on Guru Nanak Institute of Technology from one year of college experience

Placement Experience:

Recession is going on since last few years and being a private college obviously that has affected placements in our college also. The current situation of placement is not really good. Among students from all branches which each may have like 150 students, only 20 something got placed on campus. It is said that companies like TCS, Capegemini, Wipro, Amazon, Zscaler etc comes to campus for hiring but most just come and don't hire. This year highest package was 26.5 lakhs by only 2 students from our department, CSE.
