- The newer and innovative structured buildings, the special collaboration with Japan (I went there under a student exchange program).
- The campus is beautiful and really safe to live in. You can come and go out according to your schedule so we have that freedom also.

- Sometimes the faculty of my department (Mathematics) were hard to deal with.
- A lot of construction was ongoing when I arrived at the campus, but most of it is already over now.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Average placement of Mathematics and computing has been good compared to other braches. (around 25 to 30 lakhs for IIT Hyderabad). The curriculum is a tough one. You have to study a lot of theoretical mathematics but like the name of the branch suggests, there are courses related to computer science also. In Conclusion, BRANCH IS A TOUGH ONE TO GRADUATE FROM.
Internships Opportunities :
Companies like Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs have visited for internships. From around 450 students of my batch, more than 200 have got internships even amidst the presence of factors like recession. Stipends vary, the highest being 200000 lakh per month to average being more than 50000.
Placement Experience :
The college invites companies for on campus placements and internships. A lot of good companies do visit and IIT Hyderabad is topper not only among new generation but competing with the older ones. Most of the profiles are related to software developement and AI/ML. Most students opt for non-core tech companies onlyl.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The cost to study at IIT Hyderabad is I think less than some other old IITs (because the mess food is a little cheaper here from what I have heard). Cost of study is around 300000 lakhs per year (for general category with no fee relaxation). There are no scholarships as such from the college itself.
Campus Life :
Social safety is top notch. You can come and go from the campus any time (yes, any time). There are no separate restrictions for girls. New library has recently been constructed, there are a lot of books related to academics. Being a newer IIT, the buildings are all new and so are the classrooms. Many of the buildings have been designed by professors from Japanese Universities under a special collaboration. The annul fest is one of the biggest in South India.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are all newly built, so really comfortable and good to stay in. I would say they are pretty affordable compared to staying out of the campus. Mess food is way better than many college or school hostels you might have been to. People on campus tend to be critical, but I have stayed in other hostels, the ones here are way too good. You also have special cooling system for summer.
Admission :
You have to clear JEE (joint entrance exam) mains and then Advanced to qualify for selection in IIT (Indian Institute of Technology)s. IIT Hyderabad Mathematics and Computing closes around AIR 1000 so you have to get rank accordingly. Reservation is available (both horizontal and vertical).
