Course Curriculum Overview :
50% maths, 50% computing courses, curriculum can be found on math.iith.ac.in I like maths that's why chose this branch. Great Faculties, Interactive Teaching, Lot of resources to study, evaluation is continuously done, there may be weekly test or assignments depending on faculties but help is provided whenever needed, There are Teaching Assistants(PhD Scholars) to help you.
Internships Opportunities :
You Can Find Latest Stats on OCS IITH official website. In IITH we can opt for Internships during 5th semester, For The matter of projects you can do project on your own or you can get a project under any professor in IITH you just need to talk with them if they find you interested you can get credits for it also
Placement Experience :
In the 7th semester of college On campus Placement Season Start, Many Companies Visit IITH you can get info from OCS IITH officil Website, There the stats are updated regularly. In my branch, Nearly all of the peoples who registered for placements got placed, Some of them Opted for Higher Studies. In the 5th semester you have a option of doing a internship also, You can either do summer internship for 3 months or Semester internship for 6 months.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees Structure Can be found on official website. Financial Assistance is given for Sc St PWD students and Students with family income less than 200000 get full remission on academic fees just need to pay for hostel and mess, if Parental income is less than 500000 2/3 Rd fees is reimbursed. You need to show ITR of all members in family to avail this. Also there are various scholarships options which you can get once you get admission in the college you will be notified through mails about this. Also If you have qualified NTSE in class 10th you can get free education from that scholarship also again hostel fees is compulsory for everyone.
Campus Life :
The Campus life is very interesting. Hostel Life is something you should experience in your life once. There is a Techno-Cultural Fest in IITH called Elan and Nvision. Lot of people come for the fest Technical Workshop, Cultural Events and Pro Nites It's a Kind of event to experience majorly organised by students only. For Now There is a temporary library with limited resources but in 1 ir 1.5 yrs the new building which is being constructed will be open. it will be one of the largest library and by then we will have many resources for reference. Classrooms are elite, all of them are air conditioned with digital equipments in each of them. Comfortable seats. Coming to sports, Last year only IITH completed its new building SNCC(Sports and Cultural Complex) Which have many indoor sports grounds like badminton, volleyball, Basketball, Well equiped gym, swimming pool, Open Air Theater. Also a football ground and cricket ground is being constructed, For now there are temporary grounds also.
Hostel Facilities :
IITH is One of the college in India which have best hostels, For BTech You get a single room from 2nd Year of your education for 1st Years There are double sharing rooms, All rooms have enough space. A table, A almirah, A bed is provided in the room. I have never faced a power outage in 3 years of my life here, Also you get 1gbps internet in every room but sadly you can't Play online games. Hostels are also equipped with Radiant Cooling Systems which is operational during summers only. Hostel are multistoried with lifts provided. Each floor has 4 pods, each pod has 8 rooms and 1 bathroom area containing two bathrooms, 2 urinals, 2 wash basin, 2 toilets (1 Indian, 1 western). On each floor there is a wash are having 1 water filter, 1 washing machine and 1 wash basin. Mess food is one of the best in many IIT's as far as I have heard there 2 caterers as of now. you get very elaborate menu and monthly poll is conducted for menu. You get a hostel room as soon as you admit in the college.
Admission :
Register for JEE mains, Only aadhar card is required. Get Under 250000 rank to qualify for JEE Advanced then get under 1000 Rank. Then Register on Josaa Portal and fill in the preference list. You will get mail from college as soon as Josaa process ends
