Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this courses because i am interested in this field. Department consists about 120 students including research scholars and 23 faculty members. Faculty members are extremely qualified having PhDs.

Class Size : 13Course Fees : INR 4200 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

They are several scholarships for students like svmcm, inspire etc. The cost of under graduation and post graduation is minimal. It cost approx 10-12 thousand per students. The are some departments including our which conduct on campus placements, but the eligible students for placements are only post graduate students.

Campus Life :

Campus is full of sports and social activities. Staring from music club, film club to TT club, badminton club we have everything. As for sports, we have basketball courts, volleyball courts, ground to play football and cricket. As for indoors, we have tt, badminton court, carrom, 29 and chess club. We also conduct fests per semesters to motivate students for studies.

Admission :

Primarily Presidency University takes an entrance exam called "PUBDET" for undergraduate admission. After qualifying the exam, qualified students have to come to their respective departments for physical and document verification and to complete further admission procedures

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course curriculum & faculty members are quite good, 1st of all I have preferred Bsc Biotech because of my extreme interest in genetic engineering & upcoming situations of Covid 19. Also, this subject has a possibility for a Blooming future in the upcoming days of the Pandemic/epidemic. The Faculty in This college is quite good & The laboratory benefits & materials are also Supportive & workable, This college provides one of the oldest Biotech labs in West Bengal. The student ratio is also balanced. Saying about Qualification of the faculty, The Professors have atleast 6-10 yrs of teaching exp and research performs in their career, they are all friendly & supportive and helps us to explore more in this subject The term exams are Moderate & have standard questions.

Remarks:

This college still today stands to be among the first choice of every student in the hooghly district and 2nd in the Burdwan University. The only negative part is that this college has a very high political presence in the campus. Though the present government said that they oppose such strong political holds in colleges but still this words has not been kept.
