What's New in Raiganj University?
Raiganj University is ongoing for the UG courses through the WB Centralised Admission Portal. The first merit list of WBCAP 2024 for admission to UG programs has been released. Candidates can check the merit list and seat allocation results on the WBCAP portal (wbcap.in). The admission window for candidates allotted seats in the first allocation will remain open till July 18, 2024. The second merit list will be released on July 23, 2024.
About Raiganj University
Raiganj University is the first Unitary University in North Bengal offering both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in its own Campus.Established in 2015, the campus is over 13.62 acres of land and has 22 departments at the undergraduate level, 23 departments in postgraduate level and 17 departments offering Ph.D. & M.Phil. The university was established under West Bengal Act XXVI of 2014 and is located at the district headquarter of Uttar Dinajpur that is Raiganj in West Bengal. The admission is offered on the basis of merit, entrance test, counselling and personal interview.

Raiganj University Placement
The university has set up a Business Incubation and Innovation Centre (BIIC) to help students to take a step forward towards the corporate world. The university organizes training programmes, seminars and workshops for the students to enhance their skills and get an insight of the corporate culture. The centre lso aims at creating job makers rather than job seekers and motivates the students for the same. The university also serves as a guiding light for the students who want to pursue higher studies.The median salary of the graduates placed in the academic year 2018-19 was INR 540000 and 39 students were also selected for higher studies.

Raiganj University Facilities
- Campus: The Campus is spread over 25.14 Acres of land, containing Departments, Administrative Buildings, Guest-house, Pond, Canteen, Playground, a Garden of rare medicinal plants and a mulberry garden.
- Hostel: The university has two hostels. The boys hostel has 66 seats and the women hostel has 68 seats. The university also has one guest house. There are also a number of amenities centres like a common girl’s room and two boy’s common room.
- Library: The library has over 62855 books, 50 journals and approximately 3000 International journals with subscription to 7 daily leading newspapers.The Central Library is equipped with 100 mbps ILL from BSNL and also a seating capacity of 88 students at a time.
- Canteen: The canteen is one of the hubs where students are found at all hours, enjoying the food and interacting with each other. The canteen provides healthy snacks and meals for the students.
- Computer Lab: The university has a computer lab with about 205 total computers in the university and an Internet Bandwidth of 20 Mbps.
- Classrooms: The university has well airy classrooms with comfortable seating arrangements for the students to focus and study. The university also has 23 smart classrooms.
- Centres: The university has Business Incubation and Innovation Centre, Environment Conservation Centre, Centre for Folklore Studies, the centre for Differently Abled Students, the Centre for Buddhist Studies, the Centre for Women’s Studies, Centre for Film and Media Studies, centre for Nanotechnology Sciences, Centre for Applied Biological Sciences, etc.
- Games and Sports: The university organizes both indoor and outdoor games frequently. Some of the games organised are Chess, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Cricket, Tennis, Table Tennis, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Ball Badminton, Athletics, Weight & Powerlifting, Yoga, etc.The university encourages students to take part in games at both national and international level.

The university has a faculty of around 110 faculty members with specialization in their relative subject.The faculty members continuously engage in conferences, workshops, seminars and attend refresher and orientation courses to upskill themselves. There are 90 permanent members out of whom 58 have Ph.D. and 11 have M. Phil. Degrees. There are 3 Visiting Professors, 15 adhoc/contractual and around 85 regular teachers. The university also appoints Guest Teachers and Part Time teachers time to time for the development of the students.

Admission was totally online and it was very easy and easy to handle. University had a fully different website for the form fillup It was made easy so that each and every student could fill the form without any difficulty , The cut-off at that time was a little bit high as it was COVID time and in West Bengal Board, they hardly had any exams and marks were given normally

Elegibility Was a good score in science subjects in H.S. You can find the application form from (www.raiganjuniversity.ac.in) this website when admission are open. Reservation Benefits are low because there are some good scorer students who's also has reservation certificate. I don't think no need to improve the admission process beacause it's to easy and simple to take admission in Raiganj University

Admission:
the eligibility of the course is pretty simple . The admission is based on merit list . you need to get good marks in the subject to be able to get into this college which is not so tough . the application form can be found online and there is no application fee . I have not availed any reservation benefits and I think there is a quota for SC/ST/OBSs . In my opinion, the college should upgrade its online page so application forms can be found easily .

After completing my HS exam,i just apply in this collage in BCA course & there are no entrance exam. I found the application from through online from this collage website(raiganjuniversity.ac.in) no i don't think any improvement need into their admission process,everything is simple & easy to apply.

For admission to our college, the eligibility criteria are you have to score a minimum of 60% in 12th and 50% in the subject in which you are applying for honors. No entrance exams are taken by the university. The admission process is fully online you have to apply and submit your form through the University website and then the merit list will be published after the counseling process, and you will get admission. Then you have to submit your required documents like the 12th mark sheet, payment receipt copy, anti ragging certificate to the HOD. The cut-off was last time 70-75% in my course. Reservation benefits are available for only ST, SC, obc, and handicapped persons. The admission process is very easy so I think no improvement is needed.
