Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Electronics and Communications Engineering because of the vast interest that I have in electronics and looking at the optimistic future of the semiconductor industry in India. Faculty to student ratio is good. All the faculty are good but some are just sluggish and annoying. It's hard to focus because of the lack of energy or just a lack of outside-of-the-book things within them. The worst part is the labs which are poorly run by boring people who are also mostly rigid academic type of staff. The Exams in the first year are every 4 months with the midsem exam after the second month and for endsem exam, you only get one month which is quite hard to prepare in such a time frame.
Internships Opportunities :
The internships start at the beginning of the third year. All the big companies that come for placement also come for internships. The biggest one is Atlassian. Other core companies include TATA and various government companies. Software companies like Amazon also hire Fullinterns from here.
Placement Experience :
The placement in the college is astonishing. last year almost everyone got placed and with big names too. The biggest company that visits here is Atlassisan, other companies include Amazon, intel, tata, and various other MNCs. The highest package right now is 83 lakhs given by Atlassian.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee is the same as every other NIT with same set of remissions. The Placement here is good and provides a good ROI. Numerous scholarships can be opted for. The chief one is the remission itself. and other government schemes are also there. Finally, there is an sbi bank inside the company and it is convenient for the students.
Campus Life :
The annual cultural fest is the culfest conducted in February. The technical fest is ojass which happens in April. There is a sports fest in November. The library is big and is filled with mostly core engineering books. The classrooms are fully Air Conditioned, and each of them has a white and a blackboard, a projector, a microphone podium, and various other stuff which helps in studying. There are clubs for every sport that you can join. There are various clubs at the college some of them are innoreva, phoenix, phocus, faces, and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
The room is a dual seater in the first year and from the second year, it's a single room for every student. The room has a fan, a lan port two cupboards for each student, a huge window, a table, two beds, and a chair. The menu is nice and the food is also mostly good, on some days it can be so so but other days it's good. The hostel is really affordable and is really recommended to stay if you take admission here.
Admission :
Admission to Btech is done through the JEE Exam. The college is alloted by Josaa. If you fill the category in josaa the same reservation will be granted at the time of college admissions. The admission process is lengthy as in any college, only thing is the online payments are from Qfix those need to be made earlier otherwise it will get you stuck for quite some time at the time of final admission day.
