Course Curriculum Overview :

I am interested in civil engineering so I have chosen this course and in the counseling process I got this branch, our strength is 100 and we almost have 7 professors, the faculties here are very good and most of them did their MTech in different IITs, term exams were little tough but studying in a consistent way gives us decent results.

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 40000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

From the start of the 5th semester, we can start doing internships and from the 7th semester, we can start applying for jobs. tcs, pwc, ICIC Bank, and Microsoft are top-reputed companies in NIT Durgapur. The projects will be hard and we can take the help of seniors and faculty members to complete the task.

Placement Experience :

From 6th semester students become eligible for placements. TCS, Ninja, pwc, ICIC Bank, and Microsoft are top reputed companies that visited NIT Durgapur. 633 people were placed in 2023. The average package is 13LPA and the highest package is 70LPA. Nearly 85 percent of people got placed. I want to get campus placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our total fees including hostel fees are 40000 and NIT Durgapur offers residential, merit-based, institutional, and low-income scholarships. The stipend is decent enough in this college and it varies from one company to another.

Campus Life :

Aarohan is the Annual techno-management fest in NIT Durgapur, it is generally conducted in 2nd week of March, and it has some audio-visual equipment like color TVs, VCps, etc. Volleyball and concrete badminton courts including table tennis and carom board facilities are there on campus. Many clubs like CCA, Darpan, and iste are there.

Hostel Facilities :

We were 3 people in a room, we had a fast internet connection, and we were provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu is decided by the mess committee of the respective halls, the food is good enough to eat. We are provided with a special dinner once a week. The registration process for the hostel is available on the official website of NIT Durgapur.

Hostel Fee : INR 40000 per year

Admission :

I am doing civil engineering at NIT Durgapur, I cleared the JEE Mains exam to get into this NIT, and we can get application dates and fee details on the Jossa website. There will be reservation benefits for different categories, the college is very good and studies were also fine.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well developed and the major areas of learning are adequately addressed. It has prepared students for practice as well as for further education. I wanted to point at such aspects of teaching design that need to be developed : offerings of practical projects and a greater focus on interactive teaching methods. Exams are scheduledd but may prove to need extra assistane for comprehension of some of the contents.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester student become eligible for the campus placements. Amul(GCMF) , Mother Dairy, Vidya Dairy, Bhagirathi cooperative, Wamul, ITC are the company's visited and they provide good packages according to the students work in interview. After getting the degree I would pursue my hair studies in Mtech Food Technology from IIT or go to MBA course from IIM. My main goal is to get NDRI National Dairy Research Institute which is top institute for imparting dairy and veterinary courses for MTech Dairy Technology. 70 to 80% of the students are being placed and the packages very from 20 lakh per anum to 40 lakh per annum. After getting BTech degree most of the students preferred to go for higher studies and job. Research line is open for our course. Most girls prefer higher studies and research line and most boys prefer for job.
