Remarks

The college management is good in every aspect I found, they help each student as best as they can. The notice board displays all the information regarding all the latest news of colleges. There were old devices which are outdated and are not being used cu

Entrance Preview

I had given WBJEE Exam in 2012 and my rank was 20646. I had decided to go for B.Tech and Asansol Engineering College is one of the top colleges of West Bengal and near to my home Dhanbad(around 1 hr by train), that's why i took admission in Asansol Engineering College in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The Admission process was simple. you don't have to do anything just carry all the documents what they mentioned in a checklist.Be ready with 5 xerox of each 10th and 12th certificates with medical certificate, affidavit if you have a year gap.

Placement Experience

4

My experience was of course good because i got placed in the 1st company which came to my college Tata Consultancy Services this month. Just after 1 week, two more companies came Mind Tree and iGate. More Companies are coming like ThoughtWorks on 21 and 22 sep. As a Fresher all these companies stipend was around 3-4 lac per annum.

College Events

4.5

College Festivals is organised every March or April. The Technical fest is known as and the cultural fest is known as Leganzza. Last two years we have two bands invited,Underground Authority and Spunk Band respectively. The fest celebration is really big and lots of sponsors come for this.

Fees and Financial Aid

The students can take advantage of scholarships from their state government like Jharkhand government,Bihar government and West Bengal government scholarship schemes. If necessary the bank will provide loan for continuing study in this college.

Campus Life

3

The Campus life is very awesome. Several sports like cricket, football, volley ball, basket ball are continuously oraganised. There is also Sports Day Celebration in which High Jump,Long Jump,Races and many more sports are included. The Gender ratio depends on branch,IT,ECE,CSE has around 30-40% girls whereas less numbers in EE,CE and ME. Our College also provides courses on BBA,BCA,MBA and M.Tech. So,overall there is healthy amount of girls to boys ratio. The labs are well equipped with useful and few modern and few still old devices.

Hostel Facilities

2

The Hostels are divided in two parts, one is senior hostel(Old Boys Hostel) and junior hostel(New Boys Hostel) where only 1st year can stay. There is one hostel for girls and guest houses are nearby colleges for girls owned by college. There is CCTV instal

Alumni/Alumna

The College Alumni are really good and very interactive. They have started awareness in robotics, placement programs and started several programs like one of the national level model competition "ELECTRONICS INNOVATION". There are several facebook pages through which all the seniors interact with juniors.

Faculty

4

The faculties in my branch are very good, helpful and friendly too. Our branch is considered to be the best branch of this college and the amount of hard work our branch teachers do,really clarify that. The curriculum is good, syllabus is such that you can

Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.
