  • Heavy workload and challenging academic demands. Limited availability of certain courses or resources. Sometimes, large class sizes might impact personalized attention. Potential for bureaucratic processes that can slow down administrative tasks

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is thoughtfully designed, covering a wide range of topics relevant to my field of study. The faculty members are experienced and knowledgeable, which enhances the quality of education. I chose this course due to its focus on sustainable fuel, hydrogen energy, and other areas aligned with my interests. The faculty-student ratio is balanced, ensuring personalized attention. Faculty members are well-qualified, and their teaching methods are engaging and effective. Term exams were timely, and passing them required dedication. Overall, the course and faculty are a mix of strengths and some areas for improvement. On a rating scale of 1 to 10, I would rate it around 8 considering both the positive aspects and areas that can be enhanced.

Placement Experience :

Placements: NIT Rourkela, like other NITs, usually has a decent track record of campus placements. Companies from various sectors typically visit the campus to hire students for internships and full-time positions. The placement cell helps coordinate these opportunities and prepares students for interviews and placement processes.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure for the course is reasonable considering the quality of education and resources provided. The institution offers opportunities for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus jobs to support students financially. The policy regarding fees hike is transparent and follows institutional guidelines. I have availed the [Scholarship Name] scholarship, which has been of great assistance. Additionally, I secured a campus job with a stipend, providing valuable practical experience while earning. This approach of combining financial support and practical exposure contributes positively to the overall learning experience.

Campus Life :

Life on campus is vibrant and engaging, with various aspects contributing to a fulfilling experience. The annual fest, [Annual Fest Name], takes place in [Month], creating a lively atmosphere. The tech fest, [Tech Fest Name], also happens around [Month], offering a platform for technical innovation. The library is well-stocked with a plethora of books and journals, aiding academic pursuits. Classrooms are equipped with modern amenities, facilitating effective learning. Sports and extracurricular activities are encouraged, enriching overall development. Notably, [Social Group/Club Name] is a student-run initiative fostering a sense of community. Considering both the positive aspects and a few areas that could be enhanced, I would rate my campus life around 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. The overall atmosphere is vibrant and conducive to personal and academic growth.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility provides a comfortable living environment with well-equipped rooms. The facilities include [Facility Details], ensuring a convenient stay. The meal quality and variety in the menu are decent, catering to diverse preferences. The registration process for the hostel is straightforward, and affordability aligns with the amenities provided. In my case, I opted for rented accommodation in [Locality Name], which offers a convenient location. The room is furnished and well-maintained, offering a cozy living space. The meal quality is based on personal arrangements, as I manage my own meals.

Admission :

The admission process for my course involved a thorough application process. I took an entrance exam, which had a specific application form available on the official website. The application fee was reasonable, and the dates for submission were clearly mentioned. Eligibility criteria were well-defined, and there were reservation benefits for those who qualified. In terms of improvements, it would be helpful if the communication regarding the process is more streamlined and accessible. Personally, I found the application process to be comprehensive and relevant to my field of study.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is similar to all the colleges. but the extra curricular facilities provided by the college, differen societies present in differen domain will help you in growing your skills and knowledge in your sector. College keep organising tech fest, alumini meet, and global awareness meeting to keep the students up to date with present world. Course curriculum can be improved, I personally think, many new elective subjects are added which are not beneficial for my stream CSE.And the attendace is very compulsury for getting ood marks. Smart Boards and White Board teaching ares used which depends on teacher's choice. There is normally two exams in a semester , midsem of 20 marks in time 1hr 30 min, and endsem exam of 50 marks in 3 hr, and the rest marks depend on subject faculty. Mostly examination level is normal , if you are good student you can cover the syllabus in 1 week before exam.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario for now it not that good. There is regression going on so the companies aren't taking that many students. From the 3rd year you are eligible for placements. 450 companies came this year for placements making 5200 job offers. The highest placement this year was 63 lacs by Yugabyte. Average CTC is 8.5 lacs in all streams. Mass recruiters like Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Mindtree, Bosch, Ericsson, IBM etc. Many other notable companies that visited are Bain & Company, CME group, DE shaw & co, JP Morgan Chase etc. According to kiit website, 90% students are placed. 2100 students also got internships via capstone route. My plans after getting the degree is to do a job for some years and then after getting some experience I want to do a startup.
