Entrance Preview :

By cracking "GBU Entrance Exam" anyone who is eligible can be part of it. It is a written exam, no interview. Branch selection purely depends upon the rank you got in Entrance Exam.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Awesome teachers having vast knowledge about their subject. Well maintained labs including latest software, digital UTM machine and also equipped with other modern technologies. Full focus on providing theory as well as practical knowledge

Internships Opportunities :

University has connections with many govt & non-govt organisations to provide internship to the students. Stipend is provided in terms of materials & software needed to complete the project. Student don't have to spend on such things.

Placement Experience :

Alumni of the university are placed in various colleges as Assistant Professor Various companies have also recruited the GBUians. Some of the students started their start-up.

College Events :

Every year cultural fest is organised in which GBUians can participate. Every year technical fest is also organised by GBU students in which students from other colleges can participate & they can also win memento and cash prizes. Sports day is also a part of annual functions organised by the university. Apart from the above mentioned events there are many other events in which students can participate at intra as well as inter college level eg: Boat Wars, Chandrayaan, Robo War, Cricket league, Table Tennis match, Badminton tournament etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

1.29 to 1.39 lacs for integrated duel degree course. Scholarship is also provided to students who are domicile. GATE qualified students also get scholarship.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarship is provided to the students who are resident of UP state. GATE qualified students are also eligible for scholarship. Relaxation in date for submitting fee may also be given to bright students.

Campus Life :

University has many clubs like cultural club, photography club, Art club etc. to explore the hidden talent of the students.

Hostel Facilities :

Well maintained hostel rooms for each students (single & shared between 2) Renovation is done every year. University has its own large hostel setup for fulfilling the requirement of the students, no need of PGs. 60,000 for each year which is included in overall fee of 1.29-1.39 lacs

Alumni/Alumna :

University is not too old so there is not official setup for alumni and student meet.

Exam Structure :

Apart from daily schedule, labs are also available for any student to learn more. It was a chill experience, friendly relation with lab in-charge.

Faculty :

Most of the faculties are PhD holder with experience of 8 years or more of teaching. Faculties are very interactive, they conduct seminar from time to time to share the ocean of knowledge they have. Guest lecturer are also available from other reputed colleges and universities. After their lecture they stay at the university till 5pm to help the students to tackle any problem they face.

Placement Experience:

During the third semester of the master of technology, students are eligible to sit in campus placements. In the Electrical Engineering Department most of the top semiconductor companies like Intel qualcomm, micron, Texas instruments, onsemi, cadence, amd visited this year. Number of offers made is 80 out of 140 candidates. The highest package is 49 LPA by Qualcomm. 60 per cent got placed this year due to poor market conditions. I am going to work in a semiconductor company after completing my degree.

THE BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS OF IIT KANPUR

Placement Experience:

Placements of IITK are very good. Even during recession the average package was 15lpa. Highest package was 60lpa and lowest was 12lpa. If someone is not getting placed then professors help in their own domain. After degree, I am planning to work in a product based company after degree.

Engineering in the city of Gods

Remarks:

The one thing which is deteriorating the Masters level education in India is the double-mindedness of most of the GATE aspirants. Those with lower ranks join institutes of national importance such as ours just for the sake of the monthly stipend and the time they would get for GATE preparation. Such students waste the opportunity for someone else who is really interested in research, but could not get there due to low GATE score. It is high time that we prioritize our needs and act accordingly; it can only boost the research temperament among the student community.
