- Courses are very difficult here as compared to other IITs.
- 75 percentage criteria is not good. Moreover, classes are whole day from 8am to 6pm.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course Curriculum is structured and well-defined as it is designed by experienced faculty members though it needs some improvements as it is very old school. Faculty members are very good in their field of research, almost all are phds though they might not be good at teaching. However, you can approach them anytime, they are open to all. I chose this course as I love coding and computers!! The faculty-student ratio is around 15:1. Term exams were about after 1.5 months. It was a little difficult to pass the course.
Internships Opportunities :
3rd Year students get campus internship opportunities from all big companies around the globe. 1st year and 2nd-year students can apply for internships by themselves, apply for hackathons, get prizes and also get placed.
Placement Experience :
Placements at IIT Delhi are one of the best in India. A lot of companies visit here from consultancy companies to automobile companies, from TCS to Audi. The highest package was 4CPA last year and the average was around 12 LPA. Almost all students get placed here who participate in campus placements. 3rd Year students are eligible for campus internships and 4th-year students are eligible for campus placements. I am planning to get placed after getting my degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is well-defined and affordable for almost all peeps. Fees are about 1.75 lakhs per semester including all charges(mess, hostel, etc.) For SC/ST/PWD students, there are no tuition fees which is 1 lakh per semester. OBC students got scholarships on basis of their annual family income.
Campus Life :
Life at the campus is very chill and enjoyable. You just chill with your friends, girlfriends /boyfriends too. You get a big library with a large variety of books to study. Classrooms are equipped with modern infrastructure. You get a lot of time to develop your personality. Talking about sports and extracurricular activities, there are a lot of competitions going on and club workshops are also ongoing. All clubs in IIT Delhi are for students and run by students for instance dramatics club, music club, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are decent as you get all basic things including a cupboard, bed, table- chair, equipment window, etc. in the rooms along with washrooms, balcony, park, sports equipment, etc. Meal Quality is decent compared with other institutions, especially govt. You get breakfast, lunch, evening tea, and dinner. The meal is balanced usually. You also get non-veg food on some days of the week. Hostel fees are minimal and easily affordable.
Admission :
Eligibility of the course i.e. B.Tech is that you should be 12th pass out. Gave JEE Advanced, got AIR 2076, and category rank 32. Application forms, fees, and dates are available on the NTA website. No, I don't think there is any improvement needed. Everything is fine.
