Course Curriculum Overview :

This course is made for people with a genuine interest in history. The faculty is highly qualified and has the art of teaching. Teaching methods vary from teacher to teacher but each of them is very knowledgeable. Internal assignments are usually set by teachers but the sem-end exams are conducted as per univ schedule, the difficulty level would be moderate to tough.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible from the 6th sem to sit for placements. Companies offering 6 lac to 37 lac visit the campus every year. I was placed in a multinational company with a very good package. People from stats maths and eco courses have higher chances of placement though.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

LSR is very student friendly and provides various financial assistance and scholarships to the needy as based on certain criteria. The fee is also optimal which is below 15K per year. If a student struggles to pay a fee for a certain reason, the staff is very supportive.

Campus Life :

LSR annual festival Tarang is conducted usually in feb every year. It has all the needs for a student right from the library with a vast collection, to cafes, amphitheatre, rest rooms etc. Though some rooms are small there is enough ventilation. There are n numbers of societies and clubs to support students talents and interest.. be it debating, dancing, music etc.

Admission :

It's not mandatory to have an arts background to apply for this course. All the application forms and steps are mentioned on DU Website. In 2018 the cutoff was 96.5 and if the seats are filled by the 1st cutoff, no second cutoff is released.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course was good for me as I'm preparing for the upsc civil service examination so political science helped me a lot in my optional subject. Through my curriculum I got to know many theories and approaches that we can see in our daily lives and as I just said I want to go into bureaucracy so it is helpful for me. There is no improvement needed as such because my professors were actually so good. We used to have monthly tests for our internal and semester examinations which were on average neither easy nor difficult.

Placement Experience:

From last semester students become eligible for campus placements. There is below average placement in this college. Students almost opt for higher studies. But still there are many companies which visits but they offered on an average 3 lakh per annum package. Only 20% students got placement and rest of them opted for higher studies. My plan was clear at that time to go for research in economics

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been a lover of English as long as I can imagine. Being in Miranda only brings me closer to my beloved, as each one of my professors only seem to strengthen my affection of the language and for the literature it offers. It teaches you in abundance about how the world used to work and how it works today. One who studies english shall never ever fail to navigate their way through life. Considering the examination, if you have it in you to look at things beyond their exterior, you'll ace this subject. Though, I must state that being a subject course, it takes a little more than "one to two days before exam studies" to score a CGPA higher than 8.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As we can see , teaching method depends on old teaching that is reading and writing, professor comes and read the paragraph of the book and meanwhile students are noted it down...while some teachers prefers to practical learning other than this. The course that is selected by the students having career itself but we have to take notice that it's matter of opportunity gives to them.

Placement Experience:

Third-year students are eligible for campus placement opportunities. Some of the companies that came to our college are PlanetSpark, RSVI, IDFC First Bank, FNP, Zoconut, etc. The highest package offered for our course is around 10LPA and the average package is 4-5LPA for positions like a translator, editor, content manager/creator, etc. However, the placement percentage of our college/course isn't that high. The average percentage of placement in our college is approx. 40%. My plan after completing the degree is to have a job alongside my Masters.
