Course Curriculum Overview :
This course offered me a variety of electives from every domain including HR, Finance, Marketing, IT, Operations etc. I could opt to get the basic knowledge about each domain and also, it gives you an opportunity to explore my interests in the domain in which I want to have a career in. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:10 including around 35-40 faculties for a batch size of 400. Most of the faculties are highly qualified in their domain and PHD holders with a significant amount of experience. The faculties used a methodical and practical approach to teach the electives which could help students understand and grasp the concept easily and are always supportive and approachable in case the student has any doubts. The curriculum was set up with 6 terms (around 3 months for each term). In each term, the student needs to appear for Midterm and End term exams for full-credit courses and End term for a half-credit course.
Internships Opportunities :
Most of the companies coming for summer placement offered marketing-oriented roles (60-70%). Some organizations include Cleardekho, College dunia etc. The average stipend offered was around 8-10K. The internship offered a chance to explore the domain and get some gist of the corporate world.
Placement Experience :
The institute has relations with several corporates from diverse industries including FMCG, ITES, Big 4, FS etc. The final placements start from Term 4 and the criteria are set by the organizations specifically. The highest Package offered for our batch was 29LPA and the average was around 14LPA. The institute offers a 100% placement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fee needs to be paid in 4 equal instalments and it's been increasing by 1lakh (the entire fees) for the last 2 years. The students with great academic records were provided with a merit scholarship. Moreover, the students performing well during the curriculum were also given a chance to avail of scholarships.
Campus Life :
There are around 20 committees and SIGs across all the domains including HR, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Investment etc. Each unit hosted a set of events, seminars and webinars with some corporate leaders. These events helped the students to get an experience to interact with the corporate leaders and also develop business acumen and knowledge about the specific domain. There were several clubs including Alumni, Personality Enhancement Cell, SIGHR, SIG IP, Markstrat etc.
Admission :
The basic eligibility involved a CAT score of 85%ile or more and a minimum of 60% throughout in 10th, 12th and Graduation. The application form is available on the website of the institute, which is available to apply even before the CAT exam for which you need to pay 2500/- for each of the courses that the institute offered (application fees applicable in 2020). No reservation benefits are offered at FORE apart from some merit scholarships. The admission process involved a business quiz followed by a PI. It could have been more robust by introducing a group/case discussion to get a gist of the analytical and critical thinking abilities of the candidate.
Interview Experience :
The candidate should have scored more than 85%ile in CAT/XAT and 60% throughout the academics to get a call for the admission process. The admission process included a business quiz followed by a PI.
