The course curriculum is at par with any other good PGDM/MBA college out there, and the faculties are good too, with most of them holding a Phd in their respective fields. Some of the faculties are alumni of IIM/IIT as well. This is a good college overall if you have the option to choose in a tier two college, especially around Delhi NCR region, marketing is the best specialization to pursue here. The faculty: student ratio is good and a class has 60 students only, which is good for interaction and overall grasping, while some of the faculties might bore you, but most of the faculties are great. Coming to exams, it's always exam session with end term in four months each and mid term in two months each, it's the most hectic time as there might be two or more exams in a single day, but being here you know how to deal with it.

I took International Business and Marketing as my specializations because I wanted to pursue a career overseas especially in the domain of Marketing. The faculty and teaching method is decent. There is a criterion of attendance which could be improved.

This course offered me a variety of electives from every domain including HR, Finance, Marketing, IT, Operations etc. I could opt to get the basic knowledge about each domain and also, it gives you an opportunity to explore my interests in the domain in which I want to have a career in. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:10 including around 35-40 faculties for a batch size of 400. Most of the faculties are highly qualified in their domain and PHD holders with a significant amount of experience. The faculties used a methodical and practical approach to teach the electives which could help students understand and grasp the concept easily and are always supportive and approachable in case the student has any doubts. The curriculum was set up with 6 terms (around 3 months for each term). In each term, the student needs to appear for Midterm and End term exams for full-credit courses and End term for a half-credit course.

The term exams were on time and on the given tentative dates. The exams were fairly tough, enough to pass in one attempt. The weightage on midterms can be increased. Overall it was a fair evaluation and apt case-based questions. All the faculties were good and helpful.

The course curriculum is up to date and the teachers are well-informed about the subjects they teach. Most of the time the class discussions are done on the basis of case studies and regular notes ppt and assignments are provided to complement the teaching in the class.

I choose PGDM IB because it is a well-known Course and running for past15 few years. The Course Curriculum is well structured, Teachers are very helpful and friendly. Almost every faculty has done PhD in their respective fields from IITs or IIMs. There are Two Exams in Each Trimester Midterm and End Term.

The course curriculum is good. there are a lot of faculty members who have done Ph.D. and specifically in the marketing domain. The quality of the faculty is above average. Teaching methods are practical and here we don't gather just theoretical knowledge.

I choose general PGDM because we can opt for 2 specializations in the 2nd year, talking about the student-faculty ratio it is up to the mark as in every semester new faculty are assigned to us and in the course of my first year only one teacher is reported in 2 subjects. the teachers are well qualified some of them did their higher studies at IIT, IIMs and IIFT. the only thing which was a bit strange was that there are a lot more Bengali backgrounds. the exams were timely and were of medium difficulty. we had exams in a single day then two the next day and so on, but it was a good challenging experience which taught us time and pressure management
The curriculum at FSM was very rigorous followed by case studies and regular assignments for continuous evaluation. Projects were allocated in groups every semester. Mid term and final exams used to be lengthy. Faculties taught basics well and focused on practical learning instead of theoretical.
I chose PGDM as I wanted again a deep understanding of how businesses work, and get relevant exposure The faculty was decent. The faculty was aptly qualified and a feedback form for faculty was circulated at the end of each semester for the students to fill in. We had exams every 1.5 months, and the difficulty level was decent
FORE and KJ Somaiya are both excellent. The curriculum is designed in consultation with industry leaders and the growing demands of the industry as an ongoing process at FORE, making it relevant to the workplace. FORE has a strong connection with the corporate world and is a preferred destination for recruiters because it provides value to the recruiter as well. The average CTC offered by both institutes is nearly identical - FORE: INR 14.04 LPA & KJS: INR 12.28 LPA.
If you are not from Mumbai, you must also consider the cost of living. Delhi/NCR is always less expensive than Mumbai.
Both TAPMI and FORE are very reputed institutions and are very good choices to pursue PGDM. As some of my friends studied in the above-mentioned colleges, I can provide some facts that might be useful for you while making a decision.
Categories | PGDM at TAPMI | PGDM at FORE |
Course Fee | 15.1 lakhs | 15.98 lakhs |
Highest CTC | 18-20 LPA | 25 LPA |
Average CTC | 11-12 LPA | 16 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | KPMG, Asian Paints, Mercedes, Adobe, etc. | American Express, HSBC, Barclays, Mindtree, etc. |
Hence, both the colleges are very good options to pursue PGDM, but FORE has some added advantages over TAPMI like better location and alumni which can be very beneficial for you.
Between KJ Somaiya- FS, FORE IB, and PGDM in GLIM, Gurgaon which one you should choose depends on your perspective and expectation from the MBA degree. Given below is a brief discussion on the programs maintained in the question.
KJ Somaiya:
KJ Somaiya is considered one of the best MBA institutions. Situated in the finance capital of the country, Mumbai, KJ Somaiya offers excellent placements in the Finance domain.
FORE School of Management -

Among the above two institutes, PGDM in International Business at FORE is definitely a better option, considering the placement statistics of recent years. The points below give a brief overview of the key highlights of the FORE School of Management, along with its major advantages over LBSIM.
Therefore, the FORE School of Business offers an excellent PGDM International Business program, which has decent placement and ample opportunities for students.
