Review- FORE School of Management

Remarks :

The college has an issue of space and infrastructure and given the limited size, it is difficult to carry out certain events. The college however has the best in class faculty and curri curriculum modelled on the those of the existing IIMs and other top B-Schools.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is extremely robust because it is a trimester semester composed of not just two level of examinations (Mid and Final) for full credit or one level of Written examination for half credit courses, but also several other activities that form part of the evaluation. Exams are at most 3hours(Final) and 1.5hours(Mid term) long with thinking, case based questions for application based study evaluation.

Placement Experience :

The college has an extremely well connected and resourceful Placements Division team and has successfully placed the majority of their students all the time. It provides help with both summer internship and final placements. I have also been placed at a prestigious manpower consultancy company called GET Global for a monthly stipend of 22.5K for the HR profile and am due to begin soon.

College Events :

The flagship event for the college is Genesis, the annual fest. The college also organises a TEDX talk and celebrates the milestone events such as Republic Day, Independence Day, Teacher's Day etc. Throughout the year the college also organises various management competitions conducted by the various committees and special interest groups.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is reasonable considering the management programs of other peer colleges. It comes to about 15 lakh. The additional fees for hostel is another 3.2 lakh total for two years and the facilities are off campus.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college offers a loan facility details from few banks. It also has a merit cum means scholarship and scholarship for students of Jammi and Kashmir and North Eastern States. There has also been a scholarship for the top two students based on merit alone for each of the three batches ie PGDM, PGDM IB AND FM batches.

Campus Life :

The extracurricular activities are diverse and robust on terms of participation and diversity of students and no restrictions on the same exist with regard to any division be it gender or race etc. There exist equal opportunities for both sports and cultural events as well as technical events and workshops.

Hostel Facilities :

Not opted for hostel. I am a native from Delhi and choose to travel to college via my own vehicle. There however is a hostel for boys and girls in the nearby area of Katwaria Sarai that has facilities for accommodation of limited number of students.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes the senior's organise various seminars for juniors to prepare them for Internship and final placements help and brushing up of concepts. The alumni also regularly visit the college for talks and seminars and offer great advice and often help with leads as well.

Admission :

Post CAT/XAT scores, a merit list was prepared and I was shortlisted for the International Business program. Following a Written Test, A quiz and and Interview, a final list for admissions was prepared and sent to the candidates who made it. The process was smooth and hassle free and I chose this specific program die to the very nature and depth of the International Business curriculum.

Faculty :

The faculty at FORE carries immense knowledge and experience to provide students the best discourse and discussion on topics. They are also helpful and provide meaningful guidance and mentorship to the students.

You're eligible for the campus placement from semester 3. I got a placement in a few companies like policy bazaar and Barclays but the salary is quite low offered by the companies. I opted for none of these companies and interviewed for many companies after completing my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose to do MBA as I did Bachelor's in business management from the same college and the next best alternative for me was to do a master's in the same field as it will give me enough good opportunities and specialization in the marketing field which I always wanted to pursue too. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. scholars and have great experience and knowledge. Though the teaching style of every teacher differs from one another. There is a total of 3 CES, 2 internals, and 1 external for each subject and we have 5 subjects in total.

In this MBA course, the placements range from 3.5 L to 11L. The average is 6-7L which is a very good ROI for the price you pay. There are many renowned companies which come for the placements so you just have to give your best and you will get a good package.

Placement Experience:

Placement system is not like getting placement in a week time i.e. there is no concept of placement week here. But companies keep on coming throughout the year. Students generally get placed by the month of February. A number of companies like HUL, Bajaj, Wipro, TATA, ICICI, HDFC, etc visit the campus to recruit students. The package can go as high as 24 lacs for few companies, while the average is 10 lac generally.

Remarks:

Delhi school of economics(DSE) is one of the best B schools in Delhi. We compete with B schools such as imt Ghaziabad and few baby IIMS. The faculties are amazing and the college is located close to my home. Placements are consistent, averaging at around 11 lakhs.

The placement and jobs opportunity are average. In our college the companies are coming like giving average packages 4 to 5 lakhs. This is an average college. And the SIPs like only sales profile are coming. You have to sale like insurance, debit card credit card stock. You have to call some other people like cold calling etc. The stipend is performance based. 1000 or Max to Max 6000.
