  • Small campus

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose general PGDM because we can opt for 2 specializations in the 2nd year, talking about the student-faculty ratio it is up to the mark as in every semester new faculty are assigned to us and in the course of my first year only one teacher is reported in 2 subjects. the teachers are well qualified some of them did their higher studies at IIT, IIMs and IIFT. the only thing which was a bit strange was that there are a lot more Bengali backgrounds. the exams were timely and were of medium difficulty. we had exams in a single day then two the next day and so on, but it was a good challenging experience which taught us time and pressure management

Placement Experience :

The students are eligible for the placements from the 2nd year onwards. there are a lot of placement opportunities for the students as a lot of companies visit the campus and also big companies like ITC, Barclays, Goldsman etc. The highest package was 41 LPA last year and the average is around 12 LPA. All the students get placed as the placement is 100 per cent

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee for our course is 17 lakhs for two years which increased by 1 lakh from the previous year. which we have to give in 4 instalments, I find it a bit strange because our course structure is trimester-wise and we have to give the fees semester-wise which makes the first instalment a lump sum amount which can not be paid easily. The college does provide scholarships to the students which are merit and mean cum merit scholarships. they also provides 1 lakh to students who went for the student exchange programme (France) which was not fair according to me as the student have to bear 3 months of expenses

Campus Life :

The only thing in which the college has a large room for improvement is its campus, the campus is too small and doesn't even have a hostel. there are no gardens, parks, grounds, courts and places for students to sit around on campus the auditorium is soo small that all the students can not sit in it at once and the canteen is also tiny. because of the small campus and unavailability of the hostel on the campus the social life of the college becomes a bit challenging. The books were available for all the students but we have t return the books at the end of every term

Admission :

Fore school of Management accept CAT, XAT and Gmat for intake of students, I applied for PGDM through CAT after observing the last year cut off which was around 85 percentile, the application fee was around 2000 for one programme, I was also suggested the different courses which i could apply for like PGDM-IB, PGDM-FM and PGDM-BDA. Weeks later i recieved an email saying that i was shortlisted and i have to give a personal interview as the part of admission process. the interview process was felxible as I was not in the town and the admission team asked me when they can schedule it. finally the interview process was smooth the interviewers were very polite and interactive and my interview went for about 20 minutes

Placement Experience:

Placement of the colleges is very nice after the internship gap after that we have semester 3 and while we are in semester 3 the companies start approaching us domain wise so if one is into marketing they will have so many options and is there into operations we have very few companies so it's a thing in the college but if you are someone who isn't place the college will take care all though they provide enough companies like in internship in my batch we had around 40 companies and I feel like in the placement they also help a lot

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a MBA student. I wanted to do it for my own father's company. But I've faced a lot of issues in my 1 sem. Also i would like to tell about the teacher of QT because of her i got a back in my exams. Improvements are surely required because most of the students fail in QT. I've asked from my seniors too there is no management for this subject. Also the exam level was high because we didn't knew what even the syllabus was

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for final placements in third semester and summer placements in the first semester itself. We have many big names here in the campus JP Morgan Chase and Co, Morgan Stanley, AON, ICICI Bank, Atomberg, Hindalco, Deloitte, KPIT, Samsung, etc. Almost all the students get placed here. I'd the percentage is above 90. The highest placement offered was 26LAC+ and the average stood at 14lacs. I am currently intern at a company via the college placements and am working towards getting a PPO. If I get one, I plan on staying in the same company.

Placement Experience:

College offers its students placements which makes them give a loud shout-out. Although the placement process is hair-raising, the results are out of the league when compared to the rest of B-schools. Please check the placement report in detail from our website, because my words won't be able to do justice to the results we have.

Remarks:

My experience with the USMS IPU institute was pretty exceptional. I would definitely recommend this institute for whosoever is looking to pursue a master's degree in the region. Admissions are on the basis of the entrance exam organized by the university, itself. Infrastructure is world-class and everyone is pretty supportive here.
