Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum has a case study-based approach. Most of the cases used in the course curriculum are from Harvard Business School. Such a case study-based approach gives a better understanding of the course and its implication in real-life situations. The faculty-to-student ratio at IIM Nagpur is 1:7. Most of the faculty have done their PhD from IIM Ahemdabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta and ISB. Students give regular feedback to faculties regarding teaching methodology to have a better learning experience. The term exams are held every three months as there are three terms each year.
Internships Opportunities :
The average stipend is 70426 and the highest stipend is 360000. A few of the companies that visited were Microsoft, IBM, ICICI Bank, Juspay, DE Shaw & Co, BNY Mellon etc. The roles were offered in marketing, finance, consulting, analytics and operations.
Placement Experience :
The placement season at IIM Nagpur starts in the 5th semester. IIM Nagpur achieved 100% placements for the 2023 graduating batch with an average package of 16.74 LPA and the highest package of 64 LPA. A few of the companies that visited the campus were Microsoft, BNY Mellon, Adani, Bank of America, ICICI Bank, Cognizant, Accenture, YES Bank etc. The profiles offered were IT and Analytics, Strategy and consulting, Marketing, Finance and operations.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The current fee structure for the course is 18 lakhs. Students can get loans from government banks on their selection at IIM Nagpur. There are two scholarships provided by the institute - Merit scholarship and Need-cum-merit scholarship. In these scholarships, eligible students can get a complete fee waiver for the two-year programme. Apart from the above two scholarships, the institute will facilitate the processing of several scholarships awarded by the Government of India and various state governments.
Campus Life :
Tangerine trails are the annual management fest of IIM Nagpur. It aims to provide a platform for all B-school students to showcase their abilities and test their skills across an engaging catalogue of management events organized by IIM Nagpur's academic clubs. Zero mile fest is the cultural fest of IIM Nagpur. The campus has state-of-the-art classes, a library facility and a sports complex. There are various academic and non-academic clubs and committees run by students such as the marketing club, finance club, community outreach club etc.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facility at the campus is very good. The college provides single occupancy rooms to all its students, which are well furnished and have all the amenities. The hostel fee for each semester is 35000 and the fees for a hostel are included in the overall course fees. Mess food is also good at IIM Nagpur and its menu changes every month. The mess fee is around 6000 per month. There is also a cafe and an essentials store on the campus for students.
Admission :
Candidates need to give the CAT exam for admission at IIM Nagpur. The overall CAT cut-off for the general candidates is 85 percentile with sectionals cut off of 72 percentile. Students clearing the cutoff will get a call for an interview from IIM Nagpur. For selection in the Personal Interview process CAT score, past academic performance, work experience, gender diversity and academic diversity will be considered. For the final selection of the candidate performance in personal interviews along with the above-given parameters will be considered. Personal interviews will have a weightage of 40% in the final selection of the candidate.
Interview Experience :
There is a personal interview for admission at IIM Nagpur. The questions asked in the interview are generally based on past work experience, academics, general knowledge and current affairs. It is recommended to read the news to be updated with current affairs and brush up on the important concepts of past academics.
