Remarks :
The admission is given based on JEE Advance exam only. You can find the application form on their website. There is reservation based on caste, gender, and financial status. I didn't avail of any of them. Once you clear the exam, you need to fill in your preferences on the JoSaa portal; you will get a mail regarding the same. You will get a college based on the order in which you have filled the preferences. The person with a higher rank is given preference. There are 7 rounds of the same; after every round, you get a college which may or may not be the same as the previous round. You have to decide if you want to finalize the college or go to the next round.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I took CSE because it has the best placements. The faculty-to-student ratio is one of the best, but the faculty isn't qualified enough. Neither they are good at teaching, nor do they have an interest in doing so. We have 2 midterms so 1 mid sem after every 1.5 months and after that, one endsems after 1.5 too. The grading is very strict, unlike other colleges, grades are not given here sadly. The average grade would come out to be B-.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship opportunities are way better than placements right now. More than 40 students manage to get a stipend of over 1,00,000 per month. 2-3 projects in the domain and basic coding knowledge are enough to land an internship and, furthermore, a PPO. The companies for the internship are the same as those for the placements.
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible for internships from the 5th semester and placements from the 7th semester. Many companies visit for the tech role like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, DE Shaw, Graviton, Intuit, Condensation, Media.net, Accenture, and around 20 more would be there. The highest package would be 61,00,000 CTC, and the average would be 15,00,000 CTC. Around 90% of students get placements out of the ones that apply. I plan on getting a job after my degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees hike after every five years or so. There are regular scholarship benefits given to SC/ST students. I don't know in detail about it cause we don't get any mail regarding the same. The job that I got on campus was an internship with a stipend of 1 lakh per month. It was a fintech company with onsite work. It was given by the college through the placement cell.
Campus Life :
We have Ignus fest every year which is the biggest of all. It's conducted in February, other fests are Aftab, prometeo, and varchas, they are cult, tech, and sports fests respectively. Other than that, the campus is very big and empty right now. The classrooms are really good with comfy seats and projectors in each one of them. The library isn't that big enough and very few books are available though. There are sports clubs prepping for Inter IIT, Sports fests, and matches with nearby colleges. There are a lot of social clubs, pretty much one for everything from coding to dance to Rubik's cube.
Other Applied Colleges
IIT BHU - Indian Institute of Technology | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electrical Engineering)
Preferred CSE over Electrical branch due to better placements.
