IIT Roorkee study

Remarks :

In much of North India, IIT Roorkee is regarded as the only best institution if someone get the admission in it. Every engineering had aspired to graduate from IIT Roorkee. JOSAA counselling is used for admission. As a result of passing the JEE advance test and attending JOSAA counselling, I was given a place in engineering physiology. This college was in my favourite list.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college's coursework is up to date and adheres to all industry advancements and standards. Advanced Traditional Mechanics, Signals, Network services, Semiconductor Devices, Electro-magnetic, Quantum Mechanics, Conventional & Digital Electronics, Computer chip Architecture & Programming, Atomic & Molecular Spectroscopy, and other topics are covered in depth by the program. The college's faculty is extremely dedicated.

Placement Experience :

The offers we received during the college admission drive are fantastic; the institution's maximum pay offer is over 1.05 CPA, and the average pay offer is around 25 LPA. These offers define the college's standard. IIT Roorkee is one of India's most prestigious engineering institutes, with exceptionally high employment requirements.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

James Thomason Scholarship was very popular in my University and IITR offers James Thomason Scholarship to all those who have got with AIR up to 250. This scholarship had a monthly benefit of 25000 for those who were selected for this and the same kind of different scholarships was also available. As I was not eligible for the scholarship so I had to pay 250000 every year.

Campus Life :

The college's facilities are well distributed on 300 + acres of campus and are well-managed and kept up to date. The structure is well constructed. The college town is stunning, and the university's location is excellent. The college classrooms are well-designed, with air conditioning and digital boards.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent for CSE branch. But for other baranches very few companies visit on campus. Also for other branches your Cgpa should be good to be eligible for companies. If you have interest in your core branch(other than CSE) than it is better to preparing for Gate in early stage(like start preparing from 2nd year).

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and follows all requirements set by AICTE. It familiarise students with the practical part of branch and theoretical also to make them a good engineer. But in implementation it makes some difficulties because of lab structure the labs doesn't have proper attendent to handle it.

You start sitting for internship companies in the 5th semester and for jobs in the 7th semester. The companies keep coming continuously. Big MNC's come every other month but startups keep coming every other day. The CSO keeps working till you are placed even if you are an NC student (have active backlogs). I have received an offer from HPE. There have been only 1-2 companies who came and didn't offer to any student. Highest package since Sept'24 (I am writing in Nov'24) is actually 40lpa from D.E Shaw to one student and average so far has been 5lpa.
