Remarks :

IIT Patna is one of the best institute in Bihar. To get admission in this college in MTech course, I have to give GATE exams and after qualifying this exam, I participated in COAP counselling process and got this college. I filled up online application form and paid application fee of 300 . Also I submitted my B.tech degree with CGPA of 8.0. I was also called for personal interview round in the campus. In this , the skills of basic science, engineering and other related areas are been assessed. After qualifying this round I got admission in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum of 2 years include topics like Artificial Intelligence, software testing, Distributed Systems, Large scale Scientific computation, Wireless Networks, computer and network security etc. Th entire course is of 122 credits. The class size is also minimal to ensure god learning environment. All the faculty members are PhD holders and who prefer interactive classes. They also support us in our extra curricular activities.

Class Size : 65Course Fees : INR 45000 per year

Placement Experience :

In my batch, out of 64 MTech students only 42 got placed in which I was the one. The highest CTC offered was 59 LPA to only 3 students. My college has a dedicated training and placement cell, which focus to train students for best during placement interviews. The top visiting companies are Google, Morgan Stanley, Amazon, Flipkart, Amazon India, Infotech etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

My fee is around INR 90,000 for whole two year course.. I haven't opted for any scholarship. My college offers variety of financial aids from Institute scheme scholarships, central scheme scholarship , and other schemes. These scholarships are Merit-cum- Means Scholarships for UG and MSC students, Prime minister scholarship scheme for RPF/RPSF, Post matric scholarship for students with disabilities, etc.

Campus Life :

IIT Patna college campus is very beautiful with lush green garden and bushes. I attended several events like Nebula, Kavyaragam, Anwesha, Reverberance etc. There is huge library which has a huge collection of research journals and useful books. And thousands of book related to technology which help us a lot in our curriculum. Also there is facility of wifi, labs with modern equipments, badminton courts, volleyball courts separate for boys and girls, and basketball courts, and swimming pools.

Placement Experience:

3rd semester student in case of pget and 7th semester student in case of get are eligible to college placement. Some 3rd year student also got internship. Company like mahindra and mahindra, alstrom, ZF group, Cummins India, Jindal stainless steel, TCE, L&T, L&T edu etc in mechanical. Highest package is around 13 lakhs and average package around 7 lakh in pget mechanical courses. 40% in case of pget mechanical. PhD after completing master degree.

NIT Patna; College of our dreams

Placement Experience:

Placement is good at graduation level, fir masters it is slightly less but it give placement opportunity for around 25-30% students. L&T, EIL, BPCL etc visit for campus placement. In Civil engineering highest package is around 16-18 lakhs. My plan is for research after doing my masters.

To be honest, I was surprised to see such amazing placement packages from IIT Patna; it well exceeded my expectations; the best package for our batch was 40 LPA, with the average package being around 20 LPA. To be honest, IIT Patna offers the finest return on investment; it is worthwhile to be a part of IIT Patna. The college has a record of 100% placement. the placement record was one of the main reasons that I choose to be part of NIT Patna. The college placement committee is very professional and very supportive for students. The committee guides the students during the placement. The highest package for our batch went up to 15 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. Companies like HDFC Bank, Bharat Petroleum, Microsoft, Samsung, SAP Labs, Infosys, Wipro, Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, TCS, L&T, etc visited the campus during the college placement drive. The Best in the city

Entrance Preview:

I got admission here on basis of my GATE score. I scored 33 marks in GATE and I got a chance to get geotechnical CIVIL Engineering in this college. I chose this course as I have a deep interest in this field and also I have a keen interest in teaching.

Placement Experience:

Placement is pretty good for civil here as compared to other NITs because the level of education I think is bit higher in this college. There are a lot of people who underestimate this college being situated in a poor state but thats not true, its a very rapid growing area now and placements are reallly good.
