Remarks :

IIT Patna is one of the best institutes in Bihar. Initially, i had aimed for IIT Roorkee and IIT Bombay but my GATE score was less for the admission there. So, i finalized IIT Patna. Admission fee for the course is Rs. 500 which can be paid through NEFT/RTGS on the official website of the institute. After the submission of the scores, interview round is also conducted. Students who have done their bachelors from IIT need not submit any GATE score.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure is well structured and followed by the professors of the institute. Electives are taught from the first semester. I acquired both practical and theoretical skills while studying in these two years. The entire course is of 122 credits. The class size was kept to minimal to ensure a good learning environment for the students. All the faculty members were highly qualified and had 5+ years of experience in teaching.

Course Fees : INR 43600 per year

Placement Experience :

There was a hype created weeks before the placement week among students. Hustle-bustle, students preparing for the jobs in the libraries was a common sight. In my batch, Aurus Networks, Google, Amazon India, Indian Navy, Tricon Infotech, Microsoft, IDC, Indian Navy, Morgan Stanley (Mumbai), Arista Networks, Amazon( Hyderabad), Flipkart among the others visited the campus. Highest CTC was Rs. 50.76 LPA. I also participated in this week and got placed in a decent company.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Only Merit scholarship is offered by the institute to help the students in covering a fee of Rs. 74300 for the M.Tech course. Form filling and submission of some documents needs to be done separately for these. No other scholarship is provided by the institute. Students who belong to SC/ST category can avail the scholarship under government programmes and the desired criteria.

Campus Life :

House of Socio-cultural affairs organizes student events in the campus. ANWESHA, INFINITO, CELESTA, REVERBERANCE are the main events which continue the legacy of IIT Patna for the coming years. Anwesha today is a conglomeration of events that draw from diverse disciplines, ranging from the engineering sciences to the visual & performing arts. Campus life of this IIT is an happening one.

Placement Experience:

3rd semester student in case of pget and 7th semester student in case of get are eligible to college placement. Some 3rd year student also got internship. Company like mahindra and mahindra, alstrom, ZF group, Cummins India, Jindal stainless steel, TCE, L&T, L&T edu etc in mechanical. Highest package is around 13 lakhs and average package around 7 lakh in pget mechanical courses. 40% in case of pget mechanical. PhD after completing master degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

By doing masters you get specialized in the field you choose . It gives you more clear knowledge of the subjects which you are interested in. And here you get time for preparation along with studies as teacher's don't give additional pressure.

NIT Patna; College of our dreams

Placement Experience:

Placement is good at graduation level, fir masters it is slightly less but it give placement opportunity for around 25-30% students. L&T, EIL, BPCL etc visit for campus placement. In Civil engineering highest package is around 16-18 lakhs. My plan is for research after doing my masters.

The college's placement rate is unquestionably among the highest in the industry. I chose IIT Patna for a variety of reasons, including the college's placement record. The college achieves a placement rate of 100%. The highest placement offer was 55 LPA, and the average placement offer at the college is roughly 15 LPA, which is a great return on investment. To be honest, I was surprised to see such amazing placement packages from IIT Patna; it well exceeded my expectations; the best package for our batch was 40 LPA, with the average package being around 20 LPA. To be honest, IIT Patna offers the finest return on investment; it is worthwhile to be a part of IIT Patna. During the college's placement drive, companies such as BSNL, NTPC, Hyundai Motors, Microsoft, Google, Infosys, and Wipro visited the campus. The college placement drive attracts about 11 companies.

Placement Experience:

The college has a record of 100% placement. the placement record was one of the main reasons that I choose to be part of NIT Patna. The college placement committee is very professional and very supportive for students. The committee guides the students during the placement. The highest package for our batch went up to 15 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. Companies like HDFC Bank, Bharat Petroleum, Microsoft, Samsung, SAP Labs, Infosys, Wipro, Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, TCS, L&T, etc visited the campus during the college placement drive. I also received a package of 12 LPA from Wipro which was a dream come true and all thanks to NIT Patna.

The Best in the city

Entrance Preview:

I got admission here on basis of my GATE score. I scored 33 marks in GATE and I got a chance to get geotechnical CIVIL Engineering in this college. I chose this course as I have a deep interest in this field and also I have a keen interest in teaching.

Placement Experience:

Placement is pretty good for civil here as compared to other NITs because the level of education I think is bit higher in this college. There are a lot of people who underestimate this college being situated in a poor state but thats not true, its a very rapid growing area now and placements are reallly good.
