Remarks :

Preparing GATE exam was tough for me due to my gap year after B.Tech. I worked very hard and got admission in IIT Gandhinagar. Admission procedure was really simple. Institute requires your GATE score and an excellent performance in the interview round. I submitted the application form online and the paid the registration fee there itself. GATE score criteria is different for general and other categories. My admission was done in the ST category.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This programme is a mixed blend of top-class theoretical, experimental, and design courses which makes it a good one in the country. We also went to many on the site projects to learn the concepts practically. Guest speakers were also invited and they gave us some tips on how to survive in the industry. The difficulty of the exams was kind of high. Lecture notes were of main help for the preparation.

Class Size : 40Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Placement Experience :

300+ students were placed in the placement week that year. An 18% increase in the CTC was observed from the last year. Highest CTC was Rs. 40 LPA. I also got more than two job offers in this placement week. Companies that visited the campus were India Bulls, Tech Mahindra, ICICI Bank, Aurigon, Syntel, Valuefy, Birlasoft, GlobalLogic, Lava, Zia Semiconductor, Adverb, Cipla, Tata Motors, Compro, Anglo Eastern, FreeScale.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fee waiver is provided as an award for the students who won the scholarship provided by the institute. Rs. 4 lakhs is the total fee for pursuing M.Tech at IIT. Tuition Fee Waiver for Undergraduate, Free Basic Messing Assistance for SC/ST, Scholarship for Academic Excellence, Scholarship for Excellence in Sports and Games are the financial aids provided by the officials of the institute.

Campus Life :

Campus is spread around 400 acres of land with some beautiful gardens. More than 10 clubs are run by students under the technical and cultural aspects. I took part in the Step Up (Dance Club) for two years. We use to prepare performances for the events organized by the officials. I spent my free time in canteens with my friends and going for practices. The infrastructure of the campus is also ok.

The college placement is decent but the college is able to reach a 100% placement record. The college placement committee of the college is able to invite a good number of companies and the college placement committee help us and guides us during the college placement rounds. Placement Experience:

We all know about the placement of IITs. The IITs provide one of the best placements and IIT Gandhinagar is also not behind. The placement record of the college is 100%. The placement committee is very helpful and supportive. The placement cell guides us throughout our placement process and makes sure that we get placed according to our program and interest. the highest package for our batch was around 34 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. Companies like Adobe, Microsoft, Google, Tech Mahindra, ICICI Bank, Siemens, L&T, Essar, Cipla, Tata Motors, etc visited the campus during the placement drive of the college.
