Remarks :
IIT Gandhinagar wow what a college I have spent some of the wonderful times of my life here. IIT Gandhinagar is rated India's first 5-star GRIHA LD (Green) campus. IIT Gandhinagar has also signed MOU with various national and international universities for academic research and collaborations. Not only that IIT Gandhinagar also has collaboration with the corporates on different kinds of R&D projects and exchanges of resources, students, and faculty programs. These reasons are more than enough to be part of such a prestigious college. The admission is based on the GATE score. Candidate must clear GATE exam and must secure minimum of 55% marks in bachelors degree and 50% for SC/ST students. followed by GD and PI round. If the candidate has cleared the GATE exam with good academic records you are given direct admission with a scholarship if you are eligible.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is designed according to the latest industrial norms and meets all the international standards. The curriculum helps us to understand the basic concepts of engineering and the importance of technology in today's changing scenario. But one of the biggest plus points of the curriculum is that students are given full freedom to take extra courses according to their interest they are not bound to follow some traditional rules which the college feel like a hindrance in the development of students. The college MOU with different national and international universities and industrial collaboration gives us new learning opportunities.
Internships Opportunities :
After the completion of the first year, we are eligible for the internship program. The college placement cell is very cooperative and supportive they provide the list of the companies that are participating in the summer internship program. The stipends for internship ranges from Rs. 5000/- to Rs. 90000/- according to the company and the tenure of the internship program. If you are lucky enough you can also receive pre-placement offers during your internship program.
Placement Experience :
We all know about the placement of IITs. The IITs provide one of the best placements and IIT Gandhinagar is also not behind. The placement record of the college is 100%. The placement committee is very helpful and supportive. The placement cell guides us throughout our placement process and makes sure that we get placed according to our program and interest. the highest package for our batch was around 34 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. Companies like Adobe, Microsoft, Google, Tech Mahindra, ICICI Bank, Siemens, L&T, Essar, Cipla, Tata Motors, etc visited the campus during the placement drive of the college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college also provides scholarships to merit students. Scholarship for SC/ST students is also available. The college also provides financial assistance to SC/ST and merit students. Campus Life :
The campus life of the college is good. The college infrastructure is good and well maintained. The college is surrounded by greenery and the view around the campus is very mesmerizing. The campus is located at the bank of the Sabarmati river. The college fest named Blithex celebrates the festive season of India is the most awaited event for students.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel of the colleges is of the highest standards. the hostel rooms are very big and cleaned on daily basis and the morning outside view from our windows is very mesmerizing. IIT Gandhinagar is declared India's first 5-star campus in food safety and healthy eating. The campus promotes a lot about healthy eating. The mess food is very healthy and hygenic. The hostel is equipped with all kinds of facilities that students need. The hostel is totally worth it.
Faculty :
The faculty of the college is of the highest standards. The faculty of the college is mostly of Ph.D. level. The teachers are so expert in their field that they blend the traditional teaching methods with modern techniques in a way that we are hooked in the classes and all the concepts are easily understood.
