Remarks :
The infrastructure it provides for this department is everything that I wanted and without any question, I chose this. I had to apply for the course with my CEED score as it is the mandatory minimum eligibility criteria. Then based on my CEED score I had to sit for Design Aptitude Test. In the final stage, they conducted an interview. After evaluating our portfolios and calculating our scores they published the ranks.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It’s a two years long course and it is comprised of 4 semesters. We had been provided theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge through industrial training, workshops, etc. We did two thesis projects and during this time we got enough guidance from our teachers. We got work to develop skills in project design, innovation, creative designing, and many more. This course is perfect for those who love to think in both a creative way and an analytical way.
Placement Experience :
I did an internship with the Mind tree consulting and it was an amazing experience for me. Now coming to the full-time opportunity there were several offers made from some renowned brands like IBM, Flip kart, TCS, Kanbay, Cognizant, TCS, FICO, Virtusa India, Cordys, etc. We got the offers for the domains like Human-Computer Interfaces and Interaction Design, Design and Management Consultancies, New media and Game Design, E-learning & Web Technologies System Design and Information Architecture, etc. the average package I was offered was around Rs. 8,00,000.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Our yearly annual fees were Rs. 10,000 and per semester examination fee was Rs. 350. per semester total expense for the course was Rs. 17780. Although I’m not sure whether there is any scholarship is available for PG students or not. I did not apply for any scholarship scheme.
Campus Life :
As it is a course where practical hands-on experience matters a lot and for these reasons, labs played a key role during this journey. We got the facility of several well-equipped labs. My favorite zone on the campus was our central library. I was a member of the ‘Consulting and Analytics’ club. Sports facilities like table tennis, squash, and my favourite badminton were also available for us.
