Remarks :

Pharmaceutics from IIT BHU is very well known all over India. The labs and equipment they have are of the current generation. I was very happy when I got admission here knowing that my further two years will be very good. I appeared for the GPAT exam and the interview before the final admission list was put up. The admission fee during the time of registration is Rs. 4250 and the deposit is Rs. 9000.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I learned a lot of new concepts and grabbed new knowledge in these two years. The last two semesters covered the These part of the course. I also got to study the electives I chose from the start of the first semester. The difficulty level of the exams was high and I used to prepare for them from the start. Teaching methods adopted by the professors involved seminars, quizzes, brain teasers, and assignments.

Placement Experience :

Job opportunities in Pharmacology are very high and so is the income. From the start, I had 4-5 companies in my mind in which I wanted to be placed. The highest CTC was Rs.1.54 CPA. Companies that participated in the placements were a mix of domestic and international MNCs like Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, Maruti, Synopsis, I3 Network, Samsung, Bosch, Morgan Stanley, Reliance Jio, Times Internet, PayPal, Citi Pune, Flipkart, OYO Rooms.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Every central and privately owned college provide scholarship for students who come from a weak financial background. The fee structure for the M.Pharm course is Rs. 62380 including tuition fee and other miscellaneous charges. Merit Cum Means Scholarship is offered to only 25% of the students of both UG and PG programmes. National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students - Scholarship is reserved for the ST students.

Campus Life :

My campus life went well. I used to attend seminars and was a part of The Pharmaceutical society used to organize events and conferences on the latest research going on in the field. Guest speakers were also invited. The infrastructure of the campus was a bit old with old interior design. Sports and extracurricular activities were given extra credit which motivated the students. At night, we use to work in the library.

Placement Experience:

Students in the final semester become eligible for the campus placements. 95 percent of the students were employed in the various sector such as pharmacovigilance and academics as well. The highest pacakge was 8 LPA and the lowest was 4 LPA. My plan was to join the academics along with that prepare for the PhD for which the college guided me very well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Firstly, I chose this course as it included concepts of Biology and Chemistry, the subjects I liked the most. The no. of faculties in my department are about 35-40 and the total number of students might be around 450-500. Most of the faculties have a doctoral degree and at least their Master's Degree in any specialization and the way they teach is excellent and it's just a rumor that students of Amity University do not study, or nobody studies there or teachers are not at all good. The exams are timely conducted and it's not that difficult to pass the exams as there's not that much stringent checking done for answer sheets like other universities

Remarks:

Every coin has 2 faces likewise there are positive and negative things. But the negativity doesn’t matter if the positive ratio is high. I choose PSIT just to gain knowledge and to study which I'm getting completely. But yes it is having restrictions too but that is to make us disciplined people.

Entrance Preview:

Department of Pharmaceutics is the first Pharmacy college of India. The department is established in 1932 by Prof. M.L. Schroff. Who is also known as Father of Indian Pharmacy. I cracked GPAT-2013 (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) and secured AIR-186. It was my dream to get admission in M. Pharm at Department of Pharmaceutics, IIT(BHU).

Admission:

Through GPAT score (80%) and Personal Interview(20%), Common merit list was prepared and seats allotted as per the criteria and reservation. Only 30 seats are available. GPAT rank holder up to 200 may get admission (Gen/OBC). for ST/SC it may be up to 500. Now they take entrance examination also just like NIPER.
