Course Curriculum Overview :

I always wanted to go into the academics therfore i choose this course. The faculy student: ratio was 1:4. All the faculty was majorly Phd and the other were PhD pursuing with a good teaching experience. The teaching method was through the PPT and at the end of the class a quiz was conduted t check how much the student had learned. There were 3 PUEs that were conducted timely. The exams were easy to pass as the topics were throughly taught in the class and there were regular doubt clearing session.

Internships Opportunities :

I got the oppurtunity to do the internship at Dabur reserach foundation with the help of my guide. It was a six months long internship were we learned about all the techniques and the skills that re required by a budding pharmacologist. The enviorment at the industry was very amiable. The skills learned there helped us a lot in doing our master's research project.

Placement Experience :

Students in the final semester become eligible for the campus placements. 95 percent of the students were employed in the various sector such as pharmacovigilance and academics as well. The highest pacakge was 8 LPA and the lowest was 4 LPA. My plan was to join the academics along with that prepare for the PhD for which the college guided me very well.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The cost to study was 119000 INR per annum. There were no major othere expenses than that. The university exam fees exclusive of the fees was 11,000 that was paid twice during the course as it was a two year session.

Campus Life :

There was annual fest in our college organsised where as a star performer Darshan Rawal came and there were many competitions such as acting, singing, Dancing, Tatto- making and many more. The library has access to all of the pharmaceuticals journals and books as per the requirement of the students as per the course. During our M. Pharm all the pescribed books of the PCI were present in library in ample number so that there is no books shortage. The classroms are well maintened with all the facilities for the ease of teaching. There are projectors in each class for the ease of teaching with PPT. There are college teams for various sports like football, cricket, volleyball and many others. There are dancing, acting and tech group that are runned by students as well as group for social awareness that works to create awareness for the society by organsing events.

Admission :

The eligibility of course was that one should secure more than 80 percent in their Bachelor's Program. I had the addmision through the college direct mode. The addmission process was easy. During the covid time, We visted our college and to do that we wre provided time solts where we could visit the college and the principal sir was kind enugh to us and discuss the course details.

Remarks:

Every coin has 2 faces likewise there are positive and negative things. But the negativity doesn’t matter if the positive ratio is high. I choose PSIT just to gain knowledge and to study which I'm getting completely. But yes it is having restrictions too but that is to make us disciplined people.

Department of Pharmaceutics is the first Pharmacy college of India. The department is established in 1932 by Prof. M.L. Schroff. Who is also known as Father of Indian Pharmacy. I cracked GPAT-2013 (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) and secured AIR-186. It was my dream to get admission in M. Pharm at Department of Pharmaceutics, IIT(BHU).

Admission:

Through GPAT score (80%) and Personal Interview(20%), Common merit list was prepared and seats allotted as per the criteria and reservation. Only 30 seats are available. GPAT rank holder up to 200 may get admission (Gen/OBC). for ST/SC it may be up to 500. Now they take entrance examination also just like NIPER.
