Remarks :

My overall experience in campus was great. We were provided the course degree in time, by the management.

Entrance Preview :

I took graduate aptitude test in engineering (GATE) in computer science. while admission at 'usit' i chose information technology branch over others, primarily due to my interest and also because i found it to be the future of information revolution. During interview process the selected students were screened on the basis of merit & aptitude for research in the field.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum included primarily the subjects relevant for information technology. It included advanced algorithms, advanced computer networks, communication systems, advanced database management systems, etc.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships can be done at many reputed public or private sector organizations. Few of them offered stipend whereas some not but indeed, the experience was a great learning process.

Placement Experience :

Of our batch all students were placed in well reputed organizations both public and private. as far as offer is concerned, we were offered competitive package of the times.

College Events :

We had both annual technical & cultural events at institute level, and annual cultural event at university level.'infoexpression' is organized by usit, in which every student participates in some or the other technical/cultural event.'anugoonj' is organized at university level, where all the associated colleges participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Since the institute is a government institute, the fee structure was nominal. not to mention, each gate qualified student was given a scholarship for the course.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, as mentioned earlier, we were offered government sponsored scholarship, which helped us to complete the course in a cost effective manner.

Campus Life :

The student ratio was in strict accordance with the government reservation norms. We also had extra curricular activities in hostel & at institute level at hostel, we had annual sports meet to foster sportsmanship in the students.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, we had separate hostels for male & female students. each of which were in strict accordance of 'anti-ragging' policy. The mess staff were awesome. they provided us with the hygienic foor with great taste. The monthly menu of food was decided by resident students in accordance the given budget.

Alumni/Alumna :

Our seniors helped us in every aspect of our life. they provided us vital insights on examinations, internships & placements, which helped us to perform better.

Exam Structure :

We had semester system of course examination in theory & practical.apart from it we were continuously evaluated under three sessional examinations in each semester, which helped us perform better in main exam.

Faculty :

The faculty was wonderful. They provided full round the clock support whenever needed during the course. During our research thesis they helped us understanding the requirement of the system which helped us analyze and deliver better.

Placement Experience:

From 3 semesters or in the final year students become eligible for placements. TCS HCL WIPRO Cognizant were some of the companies who came to our college and 15 offers were made there in our couse Highest Package offered was 10 Lacs and Average Package offered was 3.5 Lacs and lowest package offered was 2 lacs 60 Percent students got placed in our course and some students did not for placements as they were more interested in teaching and Research Field. My plan was to get a govt job or job in corporate sector as having a masters degree gives you some advantage in the govt exams In Case Student did not get any placements and then he can prepare for govt job and can do some course to keep him up to date with latest technologies in the industry and for better prospects

The placements at IIT Delhi are amongst the highest in the country and are very good. About 85-90% of the students registering for placements are getting placed with an average of 8-9 LPA and highest ranging up to 30-35 LPA from Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, Microsoft.
