Remarks :
Engineering from an IIT is one of the best career opportunities one student ever dreams of. IIT Delhi is ranked among the top five institutes of India and is well known among people. To secure a seat in this course, you need to score an excellent percentile in JEE advanced and clear the interview round conducted by the officials. The admission fee is Rs. 1500 and my application was submitted online.
Course Curriculum Overview :
216 credits are required at the end of completion of the course. Practical and Lab work was given slightly more important as to the theory lectures. The entire course structure kept me occupied most of the time and around 3rd, 4th years I hardly attended any event. Seminars conducted by the officials were very informative and engaging. All the faculty members were experts in their fields.
Placement Experience :
80% of the students got placed in my batch in some great companies. Highest CTC went to Rs. 1 CPA and around 430 recruiters participated in the placement week. 600+ job profiles were offered to deserving candidates. Top recruiters of the week were Microsoft, Mastercard, Societe Generale, Uber, Denso Japan, TSMC Taiwan, HCL, Flipkart, C-Dot, EXL, IBM, Qualcomm among many others.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Rs. 10.51 lakhs is the entire amount you need to study a dual degree program here. This amount is very high and for the students who come from weak financial backgrounds, scholarships are provided by the institute such as Merit Cum Means Scholarship, Jain Scholarship, Prof. A.K. Mahalanabis Memorial Scholarship, Shrimati Dharam Devi Bhatia Loan Scholarship, Shri Motiram Bulchand Shivdasani Scholarship and Samir Anand and Batch of 88 Loan Scholarship.
Campus Life :
I had an amazing experience of campus life on the IIT campus. It is a hub for some of the major and famous events of India. Many celebrities also came and promoted their movies / gave guest lectures. During my first two years, I enjoyed it a lot. My friends and I used to hang out in the gardens and cafeteria a lot. The infrastructure of the campus is also great. Classes are huge and built with full ventilation.
