IIT Gandhi Nagar Review

Remarks :

IIT Gandhi Nagar is among the top 20 best engineering colleges in India and IIT Gandhi Nagar is the first 5-star GRIHA LD Green Campus institute of India. The college is quite popular for its curriculum and placement standards. If I am able to clear the cutoff criteria of the college then why should not I grab the opportunity. After clearing JEE I found that I was able to meet the cutoff standards of the college and I was given the seat in IIT Gandhi Nagar during the JOSAA counselling and I quickly moved forward for completing the admission process of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum of the program is very good. The curriculum is very vast and it provides us with insight into the history of computer science, coding, programming and software. The curriculum is the proper mixture of theories, practical work and research activity. The curriculum is a blend of traditional and modern methods of learning. The best part of the curriculum is that if we want to opt for any extra course as per our interest we can opt for it.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship helps us to understand the corporate world functioning. We can take part in an internship program after completing the 3 years of our program. We can collect the list of companies from the placement committee and select the company as per our interest. The average stipend for the internship is around 1 lakhs.

Placement Experience :

The college itself is very popular for its placements and the college has a record of 100% placement. The college placement committee plays a crucial role in the placement process. To take part in the college placement we have to register our names with the college placement committee and the committee makes sure that everyone is placed by guiding us through every round of placement. The highest package for our batch was around 35 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. Few of my batchmates received pre-placement offers during the internship program.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarship on a merit basis is also available and scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. Financial assistance to SC/SC/PWD is also available. College also has sports scholarship schemes. The education loan facility is also available and the college admission staff properly cooperates with the loan process. More information about the college scholarship can be gathered from the official website of the college.

Campus Life :

The college is located in a very beautiful location at the bank of the Sabarmati river. The cold breeze in the evening freshens up the mood. Blithex is the cultural fest of the college and the college also celebrate the festive season like Holi and Diwali on campus. The college library is the home of many books from international authors and man self-help books and academic books are available. The college infrastructure is well maintained and the classrooms are properly ventilated.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel infrastructure of the college is very good. The hostel rooms are big and equipped with all basic facilities like bed, study table with chair, and almirahs for every one of us. The hostel mess food is of top quality and healthy. The food is served and cooked in a hygenic space. The hostel provides us with 24 hours of power supply and water supply and during winter hot water is supplied. At 12k the stay at the hostel is worth it.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college is highly experienced and most of the faculty is of PhD level with good research experience from the top universities of India and abroad. The faculty are easily approachable and they help us to clear our doubts whenever we approach them.
