Remarks :
IIT Hyderabad is the second generation IIT in India and is ranked in the top 10 engineering colleges of India. After clearing my JEE exam I submitted the online admission form from the official website of the college. I was able to meet the cutoff eligibility of the college. I was allotted the admission seat during my JOSAA counselling and I feel my selfy very lucky to be part of IIT Hyderabad. The college has a good placement record and provides a good opportunity for research work.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum of the college is divided into 8 semesters. The college provides us with good exposure to world-class teaching faculty and gives us ample opportunity for research work. The curriculum follows all international standards and the curriculum is properly synced with the real-world scenarios.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship is compulsory and we are eligible for the internship after completing 3 years of our program. The internship is a good opportunity for us to learn about the corporate working environment. The average stipend for the internship is around 65k. Around 35 companies visit our campus for internships.
Placement Experience :
The college provides good placements opportunity and the college has a record for 100% placement. The college provides good placement offers for even B.Tech. The college placement committee plays a major role as we have to register our names with the college placement committee before taking part in the placement process. The college placement committee makes sure that everyone is placed with good offers. The highest package was around 50 LPA and the average package was around 18.50 LPA. Few of my batch mates received the pre-placement offers during the internship program.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college provides scholarship on a merit basis and scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. The college provides scholarships through more than 10+ scholarship schemes. Education loan facility is also available and the admission staff fully cooperate during the education loan process. Campus Life :
The college provides a good environment for studies. The college infrastructure is well maintained. The classrooms are big and properly ventilated. The supermarket in the faculty tower is one of the best parts from where we can buy all kinds of products as per our needs. Sports facilities like badminton court, volleyball court, basket court, etc are available. The college library is big and lots of books of different kinds of authors are available.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is well maintained and the rooms are big enough and properly ventilated. The hostel provides us with all kinds of facilities. The mess food is tasty and the menu is from all around the corner of India. We are served special food during the festive season. The hostel provides us with 24 hours of water and power supply. The hostel also provides 24 hours of WiFi facility for internet connectivity. The hostel is very clean and the rooms are cleaned on regular basis.
Faculty :
The faculty of the college is of PhD is their respective subject with good research experience from the top universities of India and abroad. The faculty is very helpful and we can approach the faculty to clear our doubts.
