Remarks :

I was looking for a college with a good placement record, a good faculty ratio, ample opportunity for project work and research activity. so during my research, I found that IIT Patna has received the grant of INT 124.46 crore and around 200 sponsors for R&D and 85 consultancy projects since its inception. The college also provides a good placement for M.Tecch students. My GATE score was between 600 to 700 so I was eligible for IIT Patna. For admission to IIT Patna, I have to fill the admission form through the college website and pay the amount of Rs. 300/-. To be part of IIT Patna we have to clear the GATE exam and must secure a minimum of 60% marks in bachelors degree for SC/ST 55% and followed by PI round. After clearing the GATE exam we have to register for COAP counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college curriculum is according to the standards of IITs means the curriculum follows the latest international standards and norms. The curriculum is designed to develop analytical skills and leadership qualities for global competition. The lbs of the colleges are equipped with modern equipment which helps us a lot during our project activity and research work.

Class Size : 45Course Fees : INR 45000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is part of the curriculum and it is mandatory we all have to go through an internship. The college placement committee provides us with the list of the companies visiting the campus for internships and the committee guides us so we can get into internships as per our interest. The stipends depend on the company but it usually ranges from Rs. 25000/- to Rs. 98000/-. Around 36+ companies visited the campus during the internship program.

Placement Experience :

The college provides good placement and has a record of 100% placement. The college placement was also one of my reason to join IIT Patna. The college placement committee is helpful and members of the committee have industrial exposure so the helps us and guides us during the placement process. The highest package for our batch was around 45 LPA and the average package was around 21 LPA. I also received the package of 23 LPA. Few of my batchmates received the pre-placement offers. Companies like AG Measurematics, Bajaj Auto Ltd, DRDO, BSNL, NTPC, Hyundai Motors, Microsoft, Google, Infosys, Wipro, etc participated in the college placement drive.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college scholarship on the basis of merit and scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. Scholarship from central and state governments is also available for II Patna. To know more about the college scholarship programs you need to visit the college official website to know about the eligibility criteria.

Campus Life :

The college provides ample opportunities for research and project activities. Most of the time I and my friends were indulged in some kind of project work. The college organises the fests like CELESTA-it is the biggest cultural fest of Bihar, INFINITO- is the technical fest of the college. The college also organises quiz and debate competitions. The college library is equipped with many books from all around the world and international journals are also available.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is well maintained and cleaned. The student hygiene is very well taken care of. The rooms are available on double and single sharing options according to the term and program. The rooms are big and spacious and very well cleaned. The mess food is tasty and healthy. The menu of the food is very vast and tasty. The hostel is equipped with all kinds of modern facilities like 24 hours of high-speed internet connectivity.

Hostel Fee : INR 45000 per year

Faculty :

The faculty of the college are very experienced and cooperative. Most of the faculty are PhD level with great research experience they guide us a lot during the project and research. We can approach the faculty without any hesitance to clear our doubts and they properly help us. The college never compromises with the quality of faculty.

Placement Experience:

3rd semester student in case of pget and 7th semester student in case of get are eligible to college placement. Some 3rd year student also got internship. Company like mahindra and mahindra, alstrom, ZF group, Cummins India, Jindal stainless steel, TCE, L&T, L&T edu etc in mechanical. Highest package is around 13 lakhs and average package around 7 lakh in pget mechanical courses. 40% in case of pget mechanical. PhD after completing master degree.

NIT Patna; College of our dreams

Placement Experience:

Placement is good at graduation level, fir masters it is slightly less but it give placement opportunity for around 25-30% students. L&T, EIL, BPCL etc visit for campus placement. In Civil engineering highest package is around 16-18 lakhs. My plan is for research after doing my masters.

To be honest, I was surprised to see such amazing placement packages from IIT Patna; it well exceeded my expectations; the best package for our batch was 40 LPA, with the average package being around 20 LPA. To be honest, IIT Patna offers the finest return on investment; it is worthwhile to be a part of IIT Patna. During the college's placement drive, companies such as BSNL, NTPC, Hyundai Motors, Microsoft, Google, Infosys, and Wipro visited the campus. The college placement drive attracts about 11 companies.

The college has a record of 100% placement. the placement record was one of the main reasons that I choose to be part of NIT Patna. The college placement committee is very professional and very supportive for students. The committee guides the students during the placement. The highest package for our batch went up to 15 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. Companies like HDFC Bank, Bharat Petroleum, Microsoft, Samsung, SAP Labs, Infosys, Wipro, Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, TCS, L&T, etc visited the campus during the college placement drive. The Best in the city

Entrance Preview:

I got admission here on basis of my GATE score. I scored 33 marks in GATE and I got a chance to get geotechnical CIVIL Engineering in this college. I chose this course as I have a deep interest in this field and also I have a keen interest in teaching.

Placement Experience:

Placement is pretty good for civil here as compared to other NITs because the level of education I think is bit higher in this college. There are a lot of people who underestimate this college being situated in a poor state but thats not true, its a very rapid growing area now and placements are reallly good.
