Remarks :

It was good .I had to take an admission test and I found the application online.The teachers were great,the campus was very good . It was a homely environment.The infrastructure was excellent and it was a great experience to study there.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I always wanted to become an engineer. The classroom was good with a faculty-to-student ratio of 1:40. The faculty were highly qualified and taught using good methods which made it easy to understand. The exams were divided in 2 terms with 4 sessionals to evaluate our grades.

Class Size : 45Course Fees : INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Thoughtworks was the company that I applied to and got placed. The college provides very good opportunities for students to get placed. They conduct mock tests and prepare us for gd or put them in case of our selection.

Placement Experience :

The placements are very good. The college is going to bring you companies and students have to do well to get accepted. Companies all over India come to recruit students. almost 90% of students get placed and are happy.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is pretty Reasonable considering the infrastructure and benefits we get from the college. The scholarship was given to those with academic excellence and well-deserved ones. Top companies come over each year to recruit students.

Campus Life :

Kaalrav is our annual fest and it's the most awaited fest of the year. There is a fest held each week by different departments and it's a lot of fun. The classroom has smart teaching. The sports and extracurricular activities were a lifesaver to some people who wanted to excel in both academics and sports.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel was were good. Had the best time of my life there with my friends. There are 2 hostels for boys one for Freshers and one for seniors and no ragging is acceptable. With night canteens available during the night to grab a quick fest

My admission and life at SMIT

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active and well equipped to bring recruiters from diverse group of organisations. The pre final and final year students are allowed to sit for interview. The highlight this year for me was Mercedes Benz hiring a student from Mechanical Department giving a very high package. A good chunk of people get placed every year. I am also looking forward to placement opportunities on campus, I believe there'll be enough opportunities.

Students become eligible from 7th sem and placement was good before but In this 2024 batch it's the worst placement of all time only 58% students got placement with less package because of recession Im looking for a placement and further plan is to work for a company

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because this course can help me learn both the coding and electronics part. Faculties are well qualified but sometimes they are not able to explain the things and sometimes they also avoid our doubt if we chok in the middle. We appear for three term exam in every 2 months. Some subjects are very difficult to pass because we are unable to understand them in class

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester, the college has on-campus internship options and after during 7th semester, you will be eligible to sit for campus placements. Many companies come for campus placement including IBM, NVIDIA, Deloitte, etc. PLacements for CSE, ECE, and EEE are very good. In 2023 highest placement was from EEE of 44 lakhs from NVIDIA. In Mechanical most of the students get PPO. For Civil, very least options are available. Usually, 80% of students get placed every year.

My college overall experience!

Placement Experience:

Several companies come for campus placement. Third years are elligible for summer internships and fourth years can get placement + Internship offer for the last semester internship. The college provides us with pre-placement training which is very helpful which I'm currently undergoing. The placement record of the college has been satisfactory till now. We also get sessions from alumnus who tell us their experience and guide us through their experience. The placement drives can be improved hope for more companies and more opportunities to be given to every students.
