Remarks :

Kongu Engineering College , Erode is a reputed institute with value-based education, and offers both engineering and management courses. The good aspect is that the fees are quite affordable. The admission is based on the CAT scores, group discussion and eligibility.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is very relevant to the industry needs. The pedagogy involves case study, class room lectures, invited guest lectures, presentation and innovative management games, group discussion, assignment, Field studies etc.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 100000 per year

Placement Experience :

Placements are decent. There is a well developed placement training given to students. The students get practice session to meet campus recruitment processes. The top recruiters are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, CTS, Amazon, TATA, Reliance etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees is very much lower to about INR 1 lakh for two years program. The teachers are highly qualified professors with good industry knowledge and experience. They provide good research guidance to students.

Campus Life :

The campus is big. It is having state of the art infrastructure facilities such as well equipped library, class rooms, well maintained hostel room and facilities. The mess is quite good. The sports facilities are also good enough.

Placement Experience:

All the students eligible for placements shall register with training and placement office (TPO) at the end of the 6th semester as per annexure. All students should have minimum aggregate CGPA of 6 without any backlogs apart from satisfying the criteria specified by recruiting organization/ company which may differ to company to company. 99% of students will be paced. I will get a job which satisfy my both financial and curriculum oriented.

The placement rate is great in this college. Last year placement rate was 96.5% and the second last year it was around 94.7%. In my batch, the most noteworthy bundle of a student was 14 LPA and the least bundle was 6.5 LPA and the most noteworthy bundle is 9.5 LPA and the least was 5.6 LPA. The top companies that recruited us for placements are Microsoft, HCL, Citi Bank, Mahindra, Tata, Wipro, Google, etc. Currently, I am working with Flipkart as a full-time employee and got placed because of my 3-month internship with them.

Overall the College is a good college. But there are too many levels of hierarchy. We never really know who is the main head of the institution because there are so many people like Principal, Chairman, Director, Coordinator etc. The university the college is affiliated under is not good. Anna University is keen on looting student's money.
