Remarks :

Overall the college is good except for the placements. If the faculties are more involved in the placements, this can be improved. Apart from this, the campus life is awesome with all the infrastruture you need.

Entrance Preview :

CAT 90 percentile. This is one of the best b-schools in India in terms of ROI and campus infrastructure. There are quotas for sc, st and obc students. A general category student requires around 70 percentile to get into NITT. The admission process consists of group discussion and interview.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is very flexible with electives in 4 major areas - hr, finance, marketting and operations. Besides these, there are minor electives like data analytics and IT consulting. The institute provides dual specialisations (1 major and 1 minor). This is one of the few colleges in South India where analytics is offered. It is the emerging field in the present world.

Internships Opportunities :

The training and placement cell finds internships for all the students. The internship is for 2 months after the completion of 1st year. There are stipendiary and non stipendiary internships depending on the company choosen.

Placement Experience :

Placements are poor. The complete placement process is students-driven. So there is no guarantee in full placement. Though near to 100 % palcement is achieved almost every year, external factors can affect this. Faculties are indifferent towards placements. The average package is around 6 lpa. This is the main shortcoming of this institute.

College Events :

Since it is a part of NIT, the department of management studies can participate in all NITT events. First there is Pragyan- the techno managerial fest in February. Then comes NITTFest the cultural and sportsfest. There is also Festember in the month of September.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees structure is totally feasible. Tuition fees per semester is around 60,000. The total expenses for 2 years comes around 4 lacs including food and hostel. Compared to other private bschools, this is an extremely feasible amount. Various loans can also be availed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarships are available for minority students like Muslims and Christians.Apart from this SC and ST students have fee concessions.

Campus Life :

The 800 acre campus houses all the facilities you can think of. There is a hopital, bank and shopping centre inside the campus. There are plenty of playgrounds for football, cricket, vollyball, basketball, badminton etc. There is also a swimming pool.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel and mess facilities are top class. There are both north indian and south indian messes. The kerala mess is the best of all. There are about 15 mens hostels arnd 4 womens hostels in the campus. Single seater and two-seater rooms are available for students as per availability.

Alumni/Alumna :

With 37 years of excellence, DOMS alumni have reached various prestigious companies. Frequent chapter meets are conducted in Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore to keep i touch with the alumni.

Exam Structure :

A flexible exam structure exists in NIT Trichy. Trimester pattern is followed with three semester exams and three internal exams per year. Presentations and assignments are given for every subjects. Initial semesters will be a little hectic. Gradually it becomes manageable. 75% attendance is a must for every subject.

Faculty :

The faculty is not upto the mark, for a national level institution.Of course there are exceptions. Permanent faculties are knowledgeable but guest faculties lack enthusiasm. Faculties are least involved in student activities like placements, cultural programs etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty good on this campus. We have had so many big companies to recruit from our college. average salary package to our seniors was around 7-8 LPA. The highest was 16LPA if I remember. Our batch had so many zero selects after the company attended because the election time was nearing and the market was dull. But they will try their maximum to get everyone placed.

Placement Experience:

We are spending so much money to get placed right? so yeah placements are good with 90% of students getting placed. Many companies come and hire students with an average salary of 4.5 lacs. The lowest can go till 2 lacs but unless you are in the college for fun you will not get a such a low salary.

Admission:

No, my admission was based on my entrance exam scores, and they also asked if I had any previous work experience. The entrance exam was difficult to pass; I passed on my second attempt after studying online.

Remarks:

The reason for pursuing MBA program from this college is its tuition fee which is too low. Inspite of low fee, the facilities provided here and the on campus placement record. Post checking the official website I registered myself and filled the application form and paid the application fee firstly. Further, my score in undergraduate and TANCET exam was considered for enrolling me at this college.

Placement Experience:

Around 90% placement is recorded every year in our college. The top recruiters who have tie-up with our college and make a visit for offering job are Zoho, Amazon, HCL, Deloitte,IBM, Tech Mahindra, SBI Life Insurance and others as well. Also, they offer handsome packages to the deserving ones. Though I have not been a part of placement drive. I had asked the details from my seniors and they said that the whole placement process is easy to clear. Most importantly, the highest package offered to our seniors was 6 LPA and the average package reached till 3 LPA.

Remarks:

I am very satisfied with the kind of teaching we received, thanks to our esteemed faculty. Course fee is very much budget-friendly and the infrastructure provided is exceptionally good. Library is humongous if not gigantic.

Admission:

The admission process is pretty straight forward. The MBA program offered by the college is a self-financed course and caters to the need of students who fail to appear for any entrance level management test. You have to just fill out the application form, with relevant details and present all the relevant documents.
