Remarks :

The admission process was smooth. I have my jee main exams, I got a rank of 43000 and got, etc as my branch through CSAB counseling. After joining the college I got an internal upgrade to CE branch. All the procedures for admission were conducted very smoothly without any hassle.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have taken Computer Engineering as my course. There is a student-to-faculty ratio of about 30:1. The faculty are average. While some are very good, a lot of them lack communication skills and teaching skills are not great either. The exams are conducted twice a year and the exams are of good enough quality. They are not very hard if you get the basics right.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 900000 per year

Placement Experience :

Campus placements are started from the 4th year too, the 7th semester. The placements are pretty decent. Most of the students get placed with decent packages, the average package might be 8lpa. More than 30 companies have visited this year so far.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee per semester is around 1.2 lac rupees which are quite high considering, college to be govt college. The fees are hiked by 10% every year. There are scholarships for the top 3 students in every branch. There is a fee waiver for the students who can not afford it.

Campus Life :

Campus Life is good, there are more than 5 clubs in college. There are average sports facilities not much. The campus is very small in size which has its own pros and cons. The library is also small and doesn't have many resources.

Hostel Facilities :

There are 4 types of accommodation available. 1,2,3 and 4 seaters. The rooms are spacious, mess food is typical of what we get in all the mess. The menu is not great. Food is not nutritious. Hostel are of 9 floors and not that crowded.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Reality of GIFT college

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

Placement Experience:

Students are available from 7th semester for their placements. This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Placement Experience:

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
