Remarks :
Im kind of satisfied with the hostel and classroom distance. Its very apt and 2 days off in the weekend is obviously great. The college doesn't have a gym which feels kind of bad. No swimming pool as well.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The courses are a bit too research oriented. We are taught a vast number of things which might not be useful while getting a job. We have 2 days off in the weekend. So with 5 working days, it would obviously become hectic. But still, we can find time to hang out in the evening
Placement Experience :
For the Computer Science stream, the placements are good with a 100% record. The college provides internship in Dell with a stipend of 30k for 2 months. The selection process includes a hackathon where we have to design a mobile application
College Events :
Literature fest-Ingenium, food fest-Fete, techno-cultural fest- advaita. Advaita is the biggest festival and spans over 4 days. National singers perform concerts for college students. The registration fees are 0 for other college students.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
I would say its somewhat expensive. Per semester they charge some figure of 1,10,000. So that would be around 9 lacs for 4 years and some hefty admission fees along with it of 55k. Hostel, mess, books, tution fee all included.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarship based on gpa available. Loans are not provided by College. But they negotiate with NGOs if needed. Prerna, medhabruti scholarships are kind of used a lot. But they generally take people with low income
Campus Life :
Boys are much more than girls. Floor parties are very common in hostels. Students from all cultural backgrounds present. Everyone is very tolerant. Unless people tend to form groups among themselves, generally things are very chilled.
Hostel Facilities :
Rooms are triple occupancy for first years. Rooms can be of 2 or of single occupancy in 2nd year depending on the gpa of the candidate. Infrastructure looks solid from outside but the college needs repair. Especially the water pipes need repair.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors help a lot. Society work, projects, placements, internships. Seniors help so much in these aspects. Having good connections with you correspondent helps feel better in the college and having a good life.
Admission :
Proximity to home, my elder brother in the same college, and the general review of the college made me choose it. The college has a separate counseling for students of home state. Otherwise seats are allocated by JoSaa. Computer Science is possibly the best degree to pursue in this college. Generally entrance exam result and the seat confirmation is enough. No further interview happens. Document verification is a slow and lengthy process
Faculty :
Some of the faculty are mind blowing, while some others are absolutely horrible. Some make you study subjects without even putting in any efforts, while some make it so boring that even YouTube videos feel useless.
