Entrance Preview :
I took AIEEE entrance exam, AIR-15003.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum has almost everything which an engineer would require in the 90's. But unfortunately in today's world, most of the syllabus would provide you with nothing more than a theoretical knowledge.
Internships Opportunities :
The M.tech course has a stipend of 12000 p.m for GATE candidates. The B.tech course has no stipends except those provided to category students from government.
Placement Experience :
This is the one of the better things about NIT KKR. The reputation of the college is good and most of the popular companies will visit the college. The average package would be in the range of 5 lacs per annum despite some exceptions of 15-20 lacs mostly bagged by CSE students.
College Events :
Events and fests are the things which would make you fall in love with the college. During my first year we had 11 fests. So it was practically a holiday year. Though it changed to 3-4 fests per year.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee during my time was really not much (INR-10000 a semester). But it has hiked too much during the last few years. Thanks to the government, it has reached a level more than some private colleges.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Mostly provided by the government to the category students.
Exam Structure :
You have semester exams of 50 marks and three sessionals of 10 marks each (best of two will be counted) and then you have 10 marks for teacher assessment and 20 marks for attendance.
