Remarks

This college is good for studying history as this is one of the oldest colleges in India. We have archieves department in our college and our faculties are more experienced and more innovative. So it is best to opt this college if you want to join history.

I have choosed history. Like we have 6 semesters. In our first 2 semesters we have ancient history and in our 3 and 4 semesters wr have medieval and in last two semesters we have modern history. Our teachers have a very positive approach and our classes are interactive. We used to have exams twice a year.

Placement Experience

If we talk about placements we will have the best companies visiting the campus. Even arts people have placements but commerce students have more placements and some of the companies that visit our college are accenture, vedantu and many more. Especially Accenture took around 150 students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for this course is around 15 thousand per year, so the course is for threee years and the total amount we have to pay is around 40 thousand. They also give scholarship for physically challenged, OBC and for Kashmiri migrants.

Campus Life

In campus, we used to have a lot of annual fests, cultural fests, departmental fests and many more. Like in our college we have a lot of societies and clubs. So anyone can join in any number of societies and clubs.

Hostel Facilities

Like only a few members around 5 to 6 from one department can stay in a hostel. The hostel fees is around One and half lakhs per year and it is a nominal fee and the food will be nice and the hostel is within the campus.

Admission

No actually we don't have any group discussion or interview or written test to join this programme. The college will release the cut off and we can join using our merit marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since it is open learning university..they couldn't give us time.. because the class also got started 1 month before exam...and teachers had to finish...the syllabus. But they don't really care about us. And syllabus I think is okay .. in Commerce. It is updated.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In each sem we have to give exams twice - mid terms and end terms. They are not much difficult the level is moderate. Teaching method is also good bit sometimes they are not able to complete the syllabus

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum are good but need some improvement.there is 3 subject in 1st year and 3 subject in 2nd year and only 2 subject in 3rd year and 11 subject in last 4th year so last year very tough.we need some more subject in 3rd year even 1st and 2nd year so we got some less headache in final year.

Honest review of Pros and Cons of DCAC

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral).My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

There was no such provision of jobs or fixed placements however there was a placement cell which was quite active and hence there were opportunities for placements by contacting the cell and placement fairs were also organised that were open for all, but not many opportunities were given. The companies that took candidates were economic times, TOI etc paying a very basic fresher stipend of 10-15k. Very few students actually got to know about these placement drives hence the placements weren't great also not many companies came on campus.

Overall college experience at IPCW

I applied through cuet only. Indraprastha College was my second preference after lady shree ram college. The department is one of the bests on Delhi university and I m quite content with the faculty here (except a few teachers). I chose this College because i searched through various websites and specially the psychology department of this college was rated good, so that's why. a good experience

The admission process for this and any other DU college is fairly simple which is to sit for the CUET examination which is an objective based paper and also to make a decent preference list to get into the desired college and course. My decision to choose Indraprastha college for women was because it provided my desired course and my marks aligned with it. I also applied to other DU colleges but am satisfied with my current position as it provides a well-structured academic base and gathers a much more decent crowd than any other DU college.
