Remarks :

The admission process at Amity Kolkata was very smooth we started with a screening test post which we are thoroughly guided by the academic coordinator and were given a brief about course structure and expectations.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculty at Amity Kolkata are all industry experts giving a perfect blend of theoretical as well as practical knowledge. We undergo various class activities, presentations, and term-end exams as a part of the evaluation. The term exams are of moderate level as there has been a 5% fail rate in the class.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 175000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

I was offered an internship by a media house and the exposure I received was a way to help. I interacts with the PR of celebrities arranged interviews and conducted them and at the same time. The college provides ample opportunity for an internship at the end of 2nd year.

Placement Experience :

Yes, there are placement opportunities provided to the interested students. There are various MNC and media houses coming for placements And offering various roles in PR, Content writing, Digital marketing.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are various scholarships based on merit. The slabs of scholarship are 25%,50%, and 100% tuition fee waiver of the first year based on merit. I fee is comparatively on the higher side in terms of the facilities and opportunities provided.

Campus Life :

There are very few student-driven clubs or committees but there are a lot of events organized for the students. The study material and library are fully equipped and the state-of-the-art facility of the college gives the students a wholesome experience of learning. The college annual fest occurs tentatively during February.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'd rate my curriculum 7/10 because honestly, I believe that a bit more of practical training must be included and taught in reference to the subjects, which would prove to be useful to us in some way or the other when we are out of college.

AN INSIGHT TO JOURNALISM IN AMITY UNIVERSITY KOLKATA

Placement Experience:

As being admitted during the time of pandemics, huge spikes in placements isn't visible although the college ensures 100 percent placement but i think its a hoax. The students performing average like about 6.5 cgpa are entitled to sit for the placement and media houses like ndtv, aaj tak are the companies to come as of my plan i intend to complete higher studies before sitting for a placement.

Placement Experience:

Students from the 5th - 6th semester get eligible for campus placements. Several Eminent companies visit the campus for placements and many students from our college have aced top packages from top companies. I plan on going for my master's abroad after my degree and then establish myself.

Remarks:

It's an old and reputed college of Kolkata. It recently got accredited as an A category institute by NAAC. It has one of the best Journalism and Mass Communication courses in Kolkata. The college is conveniently located in the city with access to all forms of public transportation.

Remarks:

Amity has grown in the past 12 years and specially around India where it has till now been able to provide a high level education system in 11 states. The Kolkata branch itself is about 4 years now and since then it has grown to a massive amount .
