Remarks :

With my rank my top choices were:IIT Guwahati: electronics and communicationIIT Bombay: EconomicsIIT Ropar: CSEPros and Cons which led me to choose IIT Ropar:Pros:1) My interest in computer science2) IIT tag3) Good CSE faculty4) Excellent job opportunitiesCons:1) Fairly new when compared to old IITsSince pros outweighed the cons I chose IIT Ropar CSE.For admission we need to fill our choices of college on the JEE portal, and we get the best according to our rank. Then the next step is to freeze the seat, by visiting nearest center (any IIT). I used Quora to investigate about different colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Faculty student ratio is quite adequate as IIT Ropar is fairly new, the number of student in college is less when compared to older counterparts. At IIT Ropar we have Mid-term, End-term examination and 2 quizzes before each, for core subjects. The difficulty level of our exams is pretty high and the average score stands around 50% always.Our course follows relative marking, to ensure fair marking.

Class Size : 73Course Fees : INR 800000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

I got internship opportunity at Arista networks (6 month) as software development intern. My stipend is 45,000 per month and 50,000 one time bonus (all in INR).

Placement Experience :

IIT Ropar enjoys decent ranking in all the lists, like times NIRF etc. thus we have ample companies visiting our campus every year for placement opportunities. Our Training and placement cell works hard to invite and schedule companies, some of the famous companies which visit our campus are:MicroSoftAmazonCodenationPaytmSamsungArista

Fee Structure And Facilities :

All of the IITs have same fee structure, i.e. we need to pay around 1,20,000 per semester and there are 8 semesters. There is scholarship opportunities if your family income is less than 5,00,000 (per year). You get the tution fee waived entirely, if your family income is less than 1,00,000

Campus Life :

IIT Ropar now has its own campus with all the amenities. We have two major fests every year:Zeitgeist (Cultural fest): Here we invite various comedians/singer celebrity and have parties.Advitiya (Technical fest): Here we hold technical contests like code-athon, robo-race etc. Its a good opportunity to earn prizes for your hard work.We have various clubs at our college to indulge your hobbies like:D.cypher: Dance clubRobotics club: To learn about robots and ROSCoding club: To expand your knowledge in competetive coding.Dev club: To learn about development.Astronomy club: Here we gaze at night sky with our telescopes and share knowledge.Cookery club: We practice our culinary skills and hold contests.Movie club, etc.

Admission :

No interviews/group discussion. One only needs to have CBSE score > 75%, pass JEE-main and get a decent JEE-advanced rank to get in IIT ropar.For preparing for JEE one needs to practice the entire syllabus, and practice lots of questions. Its a fruit of hardship.

Almost everything you need to know before joining about Gulzar Group of Institutes

Placement Experience:

Here the placements are fine but it also depends on students too as you can start internship from 2nd year but there is attendance issue for that you need to contact to your respective HOD's. The placements start from I think the 6th sem I am not sure but maybe or 7th but many good companies come to campus but students can also apply off campus companies too. Some company's names are listed as I know:- Amazon,Paytm,Godrej, Tech Mahindra, HCl, Wipro, etc. I am not sure about the highest and lowest package but I think the Highest package is 4 to 5 lakh . The overall percentage of students getting placed is 80% to 85% according to me. My plan is too first get the internship till 4th to 5th sem and then will sit in placements or apply for off campus if didn't got satisfied with the companies that came after I will get the job and for few years will do the job until I get I want and then I will plan about something as I want to get.

Good deeds

Placement Experience:

If we look into the side of the placement then they are counted as No. 1 in north India for best placements. They have collaboration with many companies like Infosys, Philips, Siemens etc. They have the highest package upto crores. the percentage rate is upto 80-90%. I have planned to go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

In my program form the 5th year students become eligible for college placement. As I am in 4th year I can't give many details about the company visited. As far as I know, the highest package offered by a company was 8 lakh per annum. After getting the degree I will prepare for judicial services or for Civil Services.

My MBBS journey

Admission:

I had always wanted to study MBBS in this college. My admission in this institution was through an online test which was conducted by the institution's faculty members. My name was there in the second shortlist of the selected candidates.

Placement Experience:

Our college had offered a really great placement opportunity for all of us. Our college is also a hospital. So in the placement program the students who got good marks in their exams and performed really well throughout the course, those students were recruited by our own college hospital and some others got placed in different hospitals.
