Entrance Preview :

Internships Opportunities :

No my college did not not provide internship. We attended our internship in private firm globsyn in Kolkata. But in the same city you can do internship as in BSNL but they wont pay any stipend but they will not charge as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

This was the best thing of our college. The fee for textile was 3000 and for computer science it was 6000 rs each semester. The hostel fees was 50 rs a month so i think this fee can be afforded by any poor student also. Apart from this there is good scholarship based on the merit of semester result and your fathers income.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I got two time full free scholar ship and one time half free scholarship so as a fee i just paid 18000 rs in four year.

Exam Structure :

Exams and labs were very frequent for first four semesters. Gradually frequency gets reduced as soon as you come in 5th semester. In our computer lab there was almost 50 computers which were sufficient enough for our computer science strength which was 120 means 30 students in each year.

Faculty :

Some faculty were highly qualified but some were contractor hired to teach particular subject. Specially contractor were not so qualified that were highly having B.tech or B.sc graduates. They took 700 rs for each class but all permanent faculties were holding PHD degree.

Overall a Standard College; have parallels to its parent college FIEM

Placement Experience:

At the end of the 6th Semester many MNCs and startups like CTS, TCS, Virtusa, Wipro, etc visit our campus for internship opportunities as well as pre-placement offers. Most of the students do crack some or other internship opportunities and get in-hand industry experience. For our batch the highest offer we received is 7LPA and the average package ranges at about 4.5 - 3.5LPA ! Almost everyone does get placed, but the average ranges at about 70%-80%.
