Overall a Standard College; have parallels to its parent college FIEM

Remarks :

First of all I appeared for WBJEE entrance exams and after clearing the cutoff for CSE I was allotted with this college. To get admission all I needed to do was to make a visit to the college office where various faculty members were there to help get familiarize me and my father about the admission process and other procedures. After completing all the paperwork and formalities, I was done. I would say it was a pretty easy admission process without any hassle.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My primary motivation behind choosing this course was my passion for coding and development. Other than that I feel Computer science is the future. It would provide me with various opportunities with high-paying jobs and a lucrative chances to grow in my career. Our class contains about 60 students and all the subjects have good and experienced faculty. Most of the teachers are well experienced and qualified enough. Now talking about timely exams and quality of papers, as the college is governed under MAKAUT, the decision about exam scheduling and preparing papers are done by them. But overall I feel the exams are neither too easy nor too hard. If you study 8 cgpa is easy to achieve.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies like CTS, TCS, Wipro, Virtusa, EPAM, etc visit our college with various programmes of their own. On successfully completing their programme, each of the students is mapped with their and industry-aligned demands respectively. Cognizant organizes Digital Nurture Program, Wipro organizes ELITE, and TCS Digital Ninja.

Placement Experience :

At the end of the 6th Semester many MNCs and startups like CTS, TCS, Virtusa, Wipro, etc visit our campus for internship opportunities as well as pre-placement offers. Most of the students do crack some or other internship opportunities and get in-hand industry experience. For our batch the highest offer we received is 7LPA and the average package ranges at about 4.5 - 3.5LPA ! Almost everyone does get placed, but the average ranges at about 70%-80%.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

FIT follows a strict fee structure that will be pre-disclosed when taking admission. More or less, the cost to study falls at about 4-4.5 lakh for a 4year course. Other than that, I don't think there is any policy regarding fee hikes. Our college does helps students apply for various scholarships that are either offered by trusts or by the state government. If eligible, students do get scholarships. Regarding job, our placement cell does a decent job by bringing various MNC companies and other startups for on-campus jobs.

Campus Life :

Our college follows a rich cultural social interaction. Our college has its own annual technical fest known as UNITRON along with cultural fest which are organised during the winter days. Our college boast a huge library filled with huge numbers of books, journals, magazines from all categories and all subjects. Our college has sport ground on campus which can be used to play various games like gully cricket, badminton, volleyball ! The sport club is there to organise events at regular intervals!

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.
