Excellent campus, very good faculties, and after all it is the place where dream comes true.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Here, all the course curriculum is as per UGC suggested and set by MAKAUT. Though, my college is an autonomous college, still our professors are following the MAKAUT syllabus as it is student-friendly and efficient. We have 8 sem exams in 4 year and in each sem there are 2 internal exams to evaluate the aggregate result, which is according to me, excellent.

Class Size : 76Course Fees : INR 14000 per year

Placement Experience :

Placement and internship status of my college is really good. We all have bright opportunity from each department. According to last year 80% of non core department and total 70% final year students are placed from the campus

College Events :

Each academic year, we have our technical fest 'SRISTI' and our cultural fest 'JECLAT', also Jeclat is the Queen of festivals in the North Bengal. Besides we have numbers of events through the year like anual sports,'Budspeak' for open mic, Viswakarma puja, Saraswati puja etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

As it is a Govt. Engg. college we have very reasonable fee structure here, which is absolutely feasible for anyone. The admission fee( on time) of core department is 10000/- and the non-core department is 25000/-. Then for each sem tution fee is 5700/- and exam fee is 1200/- and 1000/- for each supply paper.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, there are all scholarships of Govt. Scheme. Besides our college organizes many workshop cum scholarship programs through the year.

Campus Life :

Our college is an eco- green campus with 128 acrs of area which is the largest in the state. We hava a main administrative building, well decorated workshops having precious equipments for each departments, a general library, two auditorium, a post office and a branch of state bank inside the campus. Yet, the boy and girl ratio is very poor here.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, we have four Boy's hostel for each year students, like BH-2 for 1st year, BH-1 for 2nd year, BH-4 for 3rd year, BH-3 for 4th year, a Ladies hostel for all years. Besides there are numbers of PG and mess in the locality.

Alumni/Alumna :

Since it is one of the oldest and brightest Govt. college of this state, we have great alumni strength here, we also have our own Alumni authorisation.

Admission :

After my result out of 12th exam in WBCHSE board, I sat on WBJEE in 2018 and got a rank of 7376( General Merit Rank). Then I sat for online councilling of WBJEE. In the Mop-up round Iand got and opportunity to study in this college in the Electrical Engineering department.

Faculty :

We have such a brilliant faculties not only in my department, but also in each department. In my department, there are 14 assistant professors and 6 lab assistants. I would like to say that they are all highly qualified and student friendly. More over all the departments have same number of faculties here.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
