Remarks :

The admission process was very much interesting as we need to go through various stages. I have applied for around 6 colleges in which my second preference was Vivekananda institute of Professional studies. For B.com(h), I have been given an entrance exam and to secure a seat in this institute is very tough as it requires a good rank. If anyone wishes to apply for this course, they must have 50% in class 12th. Then after the entrance starts the counseling. Firstly I didn't get to this college and then in sliding around I got it.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because I have an interest in finance and the Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies provides one of the best teaching faculty for it. Most of the faculty members are highly educated and many of them had PhD as well. The term exams were on time allotted by the university and it was not very hard to pass if one has studied properly. The number of faculty members is very good and the quality of education they provide is remarkable. The teaching method is also quite good as teachers engage with students like their friends.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship opportunities stated to come in the first semester only. And it didn't stop but kept coming. The companies are Flipkart, homedilc grow, my captain, and many more. Roles that are offered are HR intern, Campus Ambassador, Marketing intern etc. and as per the students as well sometimes. Work they provide is like doing social media marketing, hr work like hiring, and letting the new ones know about their job. Some are paid and some are unpaid and some provide stipends as per the work done by the intern.

Placement Experience :

The college placements are quite impressive. Students from 5th semester become eligible for campus placement. The companies visited are amazon, Godrej, oracle, decathlon, Axis consultant etc. The highest package goes around 7-8 lakh per annum and average is 4-5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting the placement are 70%. My plans are that after the degree, I'll take some years of experience in a company and then go for MBA from good college so that my experience will also help in taking the job.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee of b.com(h) course for 1st year is 104800. It is quite expensive as everybody cannot afford it. There are many internship opportunities from 1st year only as the placement cell does them quite nicely. Job opportunities come in the 5th semester as companies come in the campus for campus recruitment. I have heard from the seniors that around 70% students get placed after the the campus recruitment and others search for off campus. As per scholarship is concerned, I don't know any about any scholarship till now.

Campus Life :

Life at Vivekananda Institute of Professional studies is very nice. The infrastructure of the college is very cool and it feels like sit in the college for the whole day and do nothing. There are many fests conducted by different societies as it has many societies such as literary, dance and music, placement cell, gender champions club, and many more. The college also has many libraries and it also contains many books which students read when they are free. VIPs are also very reputed for their sports and extracurricular as they are always first in this.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So I took commerce in my 11th class it is the main reason for choosing bcom (P). Due to the semester exam the load for studying become less for core subjects but the addition subject are like no use of studying. I would say exam is like moderate to easy if you prepare good enough in the amount of time give 5 months per semester

As a commerce student mostly wants to graduate from the course like B.Com Program or B.Com Hons. And I'm pursuing B.Com program with CA Course so that easy to handle both courses. After the NEP Delhi University offers various course like Skill Enhancement Course, Value Added Course etc which helpful to learn extra thing which is beyond the course. It includes like Digital Empowerment, Financial Literacy, Communication In professional life etc. These are the extra subject which helps to development in skill as well as personal growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the BCom programme as I belong toh commerce stream and had not decided what to do in future. Would've opted for BCom Hons but I didn't have maths so chosen the programme. The faculty members are good enough. All of the faculty members are PhD and the teaching method is completely on point. We don't have any term exams there's only a semester exam and class tests are taken for practice purposes. It's not very difficult to pass. You just need to clear the basic concepts.
