Entrance Preview :

I took the WBJEE and secured a rank of 453. The top tire colleges under WBJEE is JU and BESU, A mechanical engineering degree from JU is well respected all throughout India and abroad. Hence the choice was imperative.

Internships Opportunities :

My internship was with the National Hydel Power Corporation. It wasn't provided by the university but that doesnt mean the university doesnt provide you with internships. It does provide good quality relevant internships. There was no provision of a stipend , Infact none of the students I know of actually were paid anything after their respective internships.

Placement Experience :

The placement opportunities are competitive. Many employers visit the campus. The placement cell is however drags its feet in certain matters. many companies who dont really deserve to hire people from JU actually get a chance to hire folks from here

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes there are a few scholarships. It is better to approach the Dean's office for exact details.

Overall a Standard College; have parallels to its parent college FIEM

Placement Experience:

At the end of the 6th Semester many MNCs and startups like CTS, TCS, Virtusa, Wipro, etc visit our campus for internship opportunities as well as pre-placement offers. Most of the students do crack some or other internship opportunities and get in-hand industry experience. For our batch the highest offer we received is 7LPA and the average package ranges at about 4.5 - 3.5LPA ! Almost everyone does get placed, but the average ranges at about 70%-80%.
