Remarks :

As my previous experience was in Bridge Engineering , so on the basis of that IIT ROORKEE is best among others ,as it offers a course named as Masters in Structural Engineering with diversification in Bridge Engineering , which makes to choose this Institute specifically over others.Admission took place though multiple doors :- First is through GATE Score without any GD or PI or both Second one is through Sponsored Category like of mine Third one is through Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) For more information on admission you may refer to IIT ROORKEE PG Admission latest Information Brochure.I think it is not a Bad aspect of institute , but Institute must do certain reforms in it?Ûªs admission process as till now IITR took admission directly on the basis of GATE SCORE for M.Tech / MURP courses which , but I will suggest that in future IIT ROORKEE must took admission for the same programme through GATE Score as well as GD or PI or Both , result of which it increase the opportunities of many relatively lower GATE scores candidates to took dream of doing their Masters from reputed IIT ROORKEE For Dates Tentatively application started from the month of April every year Last date to submit the application - last of April Results announced through COAP portal ( you need to separately register yourself on COAP portal to participate in the counselling process of all IIT?Ûªs) in multiple rounds along with some Additional round & spot round I don?Ûªt search or see any forum or websites or blog while selecting this college because in my previous company I made many visits to IIT ROORKEE by which I came to know many more about it automatically .

Course Curriculum Overview :

The reason why I choose this institute already stated earlier by me.Mostly all faculties are Post- Doc as far as my Department is concerned and Minimum Phd from many foreign universities across the globe.Teaching method is so interactive , effective and practical in nature. All concerned faculties are awesome as far as faculty teaching method is concerned.IIT ROORKEE is so punctual and committed towards its Time Table , as all type of term exams whether they are Mid Term Exams or End term exams are scheduled as per the time table.There is no as such difficulty faced by the student to pass the exam , provided he/ she attentively took all classes and do practice and revise all the concepts taught in the class on a regular basis

Class Size : 34Course Fees : INR 255000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Till now I am in 1st year , so I have no experience of Internship as such , but yes our TPO through Placement & Internship cell give an opportunity to all of us to do our internship in our last sem of MTech in a reputed core MNCs.

Placement Experience :

As I said earlier also ,almost all our senior batch students got placed this year where two of them got highest package of 19 lacs per annum from a reputed PSU named as Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd & WAPCOS even in this crucial COVID time.So overall Placement is very good , do not take tension of it while taking admission

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is almost same as compare to other IIT?Ûªs There are multiple ways through which you can avail scholarship during your Masters program through Foreign exchange programme like DAAD or MHRD Scholarship through GATE etc .Last year almost all students from our specialization got placed apart from those who voluntarily not want to sit in placement drive as they were in some govt exams preparation

Campus Life :

As my admission was happened in August 2020 in COVID-19 time.So till now we are not allow to come to campus by the institute.As far as library is concerned , IITR have online library app for both android & Apple phones , from where you can access multiple books & journals as per your requirement.Almost all the social groups , clubs or websites for students run by IITR students itself , of which I also a part of. Like I am a Assciate Member of NSS under the aegis of IIT ROORKEEAlso I am a Placement Coordinator in Placement & internship cell of IIT ROORKEE

Hostel Facilities :

Due to COVID 19 , institute doesn?Ûªt provide any hostel to us till now, so that?Ûªs why I don?Ûªt know the registration process for hostel & affordability And also I can?Ûªt able to give review of meal quality & menu because of the above same reason.Here in IIT ROORKEE , hostel is compulsory for all regular or full time students , so you don?Ûªt have choice to rent a room or PG outside the campus

Admission :

I got admission into IITR as a Sponsored Candidate, so I didn?Ûªt took any entrance exam for that but inspite of that I qualified an interview to get admission into it

IIRS Dehradun, A Synopsis

Remarks:

For the higher studies in Remote Sensing & GIS, IIRS (ISRO) is the best institute in India. The personal preference would be Masters over the Diploma course since the Masters programme includes a 14 month project towards the end of the course, in which the researcher gets to work under the guidance of experienced scientists from ISRO. A drawback of the course would be that the syllabus is demanding and the exams are tightly scheduled.

The admission depends upon the GATE entrance exam and 45% scored in the undergraduate to enroll in the course. The results and merit lists provide information about admission. Luckily, my name appeared on the list.

Placement Experience:

IIRS holds an extraordinary placement record in the earlier years right around 70 percent was set in choice organizations. The placement cell of the college prepares us for the aptitude tests and mock interviews.

Admission:

The admission procedure includes clearing the GATE entrance test and personal interview after clearing them college handover the list of selected students. My name appeared in the first merit afterward I’ve attended the counseling session and submitted my documents to begin the admission process.

Placement Experience:

IIRS holds a great placement record in the previous years almost 70 percent were placed in top-notch companies. The placement cell of the college provides training through mock interviews and aptitude tests to crack the interviews.

Admission:

Takes direct admission on b.tech percentage. You can say in management quota seatthere is only CSE branch for m.tech and only 25 seats in m.tech.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship process is good . But there is no good companies intern offers. There is no stipend for intership college offers industrail visit to bhel etc.
